I was talking to the people next door about politics and terrorism. They then told me their daughter (whom I’ve met several times) was in the Bali bombing. Her boyfriend was killed but she and her girlfriend survived because they left the others dancing while they went back to their table. Lucky for them, a couple of strangers started hitting them up so they moved out the back behind a wall to get away from them. Seconds later, they were dragging charred bodies out from the smouldering ruins.
Her mother then said the survivors who lived locally spent the next month sleeping together in this very room… very strange.
The 10th anniversary is coming up in a few months…

The advert for the Para-Olympics is just awesome, and they are physically impressive and would put most of us physically-abled humans to shame with their trained physiques.
Have you ever left here for awhile, and then came back and realized that all the things you used to tell yourself about this place actually ARE true? Like how stupid and petty it is, and how nearly everyone takes themselves way too seriously and are waaaaay too caught up in this little cyberworld?
