Sadly, I think you're incorrect. Americans (well, the right to be more accurate) were upset when Obama took office. I was getting e-mails from a lunatic in my office signed off "Veritas" every year after Obama was elected. This is the leftover vestiges of the Tea Party movement, combined with religious fanaticism and ignorance, all lassoed by the populist rhetoric of a megalomaniac.

This will continue, unless (which I have serious doubt about) the Biden administration is willing to address these Americans who were left behind by both parties over the past 2 -3 decades.
