I like baroque ...anything by Bach and especially his fugues, Scarlatti, j Fischer, FC Couperin, ... I am relatively picky about performers too...I like harpsichord over piano and I don't like Bach's fugues played on anything other than an organ...a point in case...piano is a superior instrument and my taste here is inferior...but..how do you quantify it 'objectively'?

I just listened, and piano does not do them justice.. so it wasn’t meant to be, but came to be.. by way of invention of the piano in 1700. Just because something can be played on the piano, doesn’t mean it should..
