once again, reading Safranski, "Martin Heidegger"
I have finished the two key chapters, 13 and 14..
13 titled "The national socialist revolution and the
collective breakout from the cave"
and 14 titled "Is Heidegger Anti-Semitic?"
and once again, I am astonished by the similarities between
Nazi Germany circa, 1932 and America 2020.....
the first similarity is the current fixation upon work, IQ45 ongoing
demand to "Open up the economy" as if that is some cure to what ails
us.. but the fact is, the Right has always held a special place for work,
not for the workers.. for they are expendable but for the concept of work....
and the Nazi's glorification of work... as shown by their slogan:
"Arbiten macht frei" "Work shall set you free"
neither the Nazi's nor the GOP have any use for, of need the "intellectual's"
as defined by universities or professors....in fact, both frown upon and dismiss
intellectual endeavor's as being "useless" and "dangerous" this is the second
similarity from the Nazi's and the GOP.....a real hatred of intellect and intellectuals...
the third similarity is the focus, fixation upon national identity and nation....
both parties, Nazi's and GOP, claim to put nation first and all must,
and this is an important point, all must engage with putting nation
and as the party is the nation, party first too....
the nation can do no wrong as the party can do no wrong....
the fourth similarity is the belief that the leader, in Germany case,
Hitler and in America, IQ45, are indeed the sole arbiter of what is
right, wrong and the past, present and future of the nation.....
or to say in religious terms, the belief that the leader, the Fuhrer,
be it Hitler or IQ45, is the messiah... come to earth to free us....
to listen to the followers of both, they speak of both Fuhrer's in
religious terms... in religious context...both can walk on water according to
their followers.....
the fifth similarity is their utter belief that everyone outside of
Fuhrer is expendable to the glory and greatness of the state,
be it Germany or America....we are not only expected to
sacrifice ourselves on the alter of the greatness of both the
messiah's and the greatness of their respective countries....
but we are expected to be happy and willing participants to
that sacrifice of ourselves for the greater glory of the state....
recall that Republicans called for the elderly to "sacrifice" themselves
to benefit the economic recovery of the nation...
and that is no different then what the Nazi's called for... a sacrificed
of oneself for the betterment of the nation.....
in reading the history of Nazi Germany, one cannot help but
see many similarities between the demands of Nazi Germany and what the
messiah IQ45 demands...............
I see no outstanding difference between Nazism and Trumpism...
just minor details..... but the goal is the same and outcome will
be the same.... for Nazism and Trumpism is an exercise in
the lower values of human existence... hate, lust, anger, greed,
violence, prejudice, intolerance....
I cannot tell the difference between the two...
can you?
