Really enjoying the shit out of this. those guys were extremely good.

Of course the album was not simply meant to be played. It was a trough for DJs. from which they drank thirstily. And we danced.

Time is a field with craters.
Each crater and its cracks into the Real are permanent. Streams of time, places in time, grottos, where cyclogenetic plays repeat eternally.
Pathways into the Real cause minerals to be revealed, minerals which are cities like Athens or Jerusalem or Paris which give meaning to time and cause it to stick to them like blood.

Time is the bulletholes in a church
time is the shadow of the empty line creeping across the skirt in the dandelions
time is a lizard on my back
time is a prison cell for those who would freely give
time is lord of truth.
wisdom is said to be lord of time

Time is sullen, time is forlorn, time is dusty.
Time has dirt on its shoulder.

Some times time shrugs and explodes into a million cities.
Most times, time relishes its own silence.

I heard of a goat who controls time from a little lodge with it's own mountain. But I went and looked and it wasn't true. Time controls the goat.
The little lodge though, that was all true, had me a good time.

The nice thing about this movie is, you get to wonder: how would it have looked if Mamet directed it?

What have you seen or read recently by Mamet?
Ive only read and watched Glenngarry Glenn Ross. I wondered how they were going to do justice to the dialogue, but it seemed to have caused no problems for them.
This is a film where you hope the recorded some of the rehearsals.

Didn't he have one with some guys on a boat? Maybe that wasn't him. "Don't work too hard!" "I wouldn't dream of it!" that one.

Beautiful thing is sales offices are really like that. Or as close to that as you can get with girls there. Which is now irreversible as, obviously, people are more willing to give their money to a beautiful sounding girl.

The problem with the girls is, they start wondering at one point how much of it is real, and if they should be offended. As soon as they bend that stick, the whole fucking thing goes down the tubes. They collapse the state or whatever. And you can't just call a girl a fucking bitch. Hell hath no fury and all of that.

But enough remains that it is beautiful.

"obviously, people are more willing to give their money to a beautiful sounding girl."

To be fair this probably applies only to boiler room type shops where they sell shitty things which are more annoying than they are expensive.

Sometimes, people only trust a man. When they feel their business is at stake.

Maybe it's because men get offended by men costing them money, and not by what they are being represented as. Abuse is not a problem.

What made the first season of Yellowstone is that they found a way to make a woman find a way around that. By the second season the liberal religious instinct kicks in and thee show turns to shit. But the first season is beautiful.
