I continue with my New Jack Swing saga:

So some people who don't have it just aren't using thier opportunities, and then out of those who are using them, then most squander what they gain through poor choices, which keeps them poor. I've said some nasty things about Weeknd in the past but he did very much please me with that 80's sounding track.

Isn't that interesting. The best popular song of 2020 sounds like an 80's song.

Here's something from the Netherlands. This sounds better than the majority of US number one singles:

Nothing special but it's music at least.

My ears are pleased, Pedro.

When we're at Bach, here's one of my personal favorites. This one is full of dignity.

Exactly. Pretty good but too bad they fucked it up with that abrupt change.

Gugliami, gotta love an originalist.

I went from obssessively listening to Bach to obssessively listening to Vivaldi with some Albinoni. You realize that what Bach did was take Vivaldi and scientize him so that you could do more stuff. But the real core is still Vivaldi.

I'm sure, once I'm done obssessing, I will go running back to Bach with a smile. He took it very seriously when he said the object of music was to reach God. Vivaldi was more cynical: any excuse to celebrate life. Here's some Albinoni:

Honestly he's even better with oboes than old V.

Albinoni is what they should have blasted while they were dropping bombs in Vietnam, not Wagner.
