(Morons, such as Meno, need not read this, please.)

Nihilism is the view that life and human beings are the same, life, bios, the mere animal, and that the human being is not a special hinge with its own peculiar power (its discovery the most momentous moment of creation) to perfect the universe stemming from that hinge.

It is said that life, that someone is alive, is the same thing as psuke, soul, for the olden Greeks. If one does not believe in life, then the things that are not alive are the same as the living things. And yet, what is this "same"? No one ever lived as if there were no life or soul.
