He was given the opportunity to exile himself though (if I remember right), but the dumb sonofabitch martyed himself instead… no doubt a publicity stunt. I mean it’s cool to martyr yourself for a REAL cause. Blowing up Wall Street or assassinating a president, for instance. But this asshole was martyring himself over some dumb philosophical crap. I mean the shit he was teaching the yoof was no less ‘currupt’ than the shit they believed before he got a’hold of em. The whole thing was an tremendous anticlimactic charade of idiocy, if you ax me. And still people read the apology and are all like ‘gosh that was so meaningful. what a great guy Socrates was’. No, he was a dumbass who shoulda took a lesson or two from diogenes before he so noblely accepted his pointless deaf.
