A good film indeed… a desperate character, very well portrayed by Douglas.
I realised a long time ago, that I have a thing for films with a 70s retro soundtrack, or with modern songs of similar sound. It creates a party in my mind.
I’m not sure… I don’t like too much slap-stick a’la Monty Python, so maybe not, or maybe I have and I just don’t remember.
I’m a massive Marx Brothers fan, and have seen every one of their films… I adore Groucho and Harpo in equal measure, but Harpo is just so compelling to watch.
I think the 90s was the best decade for film.
My favorite 90s flicks:
American Beauty
The Big Lebowski
Natural Born Killers
Casino or Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs
Braveheart
The Matrix
Terminator 2
Total Recall
A Clockwork Orange
Barry Lyndon
Apocalypse Now
The Deer Hunter
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Escape from the Planet of the Apes
Dawn of the Dead
Star Wars
Logan’s Run
Soylent Green
Those two are great, incredible acting in No Country, best Cohen brothers, I think, and the least cartoony. Daniel Day Lewis in Blood was amazing and the young actor, Paul Dano, manages to go toe to toe with him.
