Hebrew Man in the Land of Halloween... "An American Snag"

Oh, ha-ha-ha. :sunglasses:

I’m not the one glorifying Jewishness or zionism here, that would be you Fixed.

Well, you look, um, handsome.

Your posts do make more sense now that I know your face.

Lame post, it’s what I would come to expect from you. No substance or arguments, just personal attacks instead.

“Handsome” is an attack now?

You snowflakes…

I was trying to be polite, dude.

Should be happy Fixed, Carleas removed the image. Can’t criticize, mock, or question God’s chosen group of psychopaths that want to enslave and destroy the planet for themselves. [The real supremacists if there are any concerning the definition of the word.]

Yeah right. You just got flustered.

You suck at baiting people. :sunglasses:

Well, good luck anyway.

For readers who wonder what this was about - “Zero-Sum” hates his father who had apparently converted to Judaism, and thus he hates Jews.

I never watched Schindler’s List.

I found even its aura offensive.

Fuck you Spielberg. Are you kidding me?

you said the third season of Fargo is pure porn. But you really missed out then on the ending. That’s my view on it.

Fucking Schindler’s list. Yeah, it was all a game. In the 90’s it was far worse than guilt-tripping, which guilt-tripping might actually save a few souls in this case. It was - as an aside, I believe the Cohen brothers feel the same about Judaism and both the people and the religion as you - trivializing it. That level of emotionality is trivial, it separates emotions from danger, which is the only truth about what happened. In a sense: “it could happen to them, but it could never happen to me.”

Even La Vita E Bella was less gruesome. It wasn’t about some fucking universal human narrative, it was a father dealing with an unavoidable truth. The way he dealt with it maybe lied a bit too much, but the set-up was at least less fucked up.

Still and all, all-around agree with your final judgement on Speilberg.

Furthermore!

Even as pure narrative, that book is some motherfucking goddamn shit. some motherfucking goddamn shit. What makes people hate it is their hate at their own weakness.

Now, Ecmanfuckyou,

Apologize for that New Testament.

That shit is really Heresy.

The only interesting parts are when Jesus gets angry. “Wow!” Or when he’s being nice to his Mom. But is that even in the bible? Kid Jesus?

Anyway, clearly even that has no place next to some goddamn text like that holy fuck.

Apologize you faggot.

you never saw schindler’s list? unbelievable. this explains everything.

the whole movie amounts to this scene:

No interest.

Makes no sense Prom, the first guy is right. In Schindlers tale about Wilhelm, the power is the control held by the emperor over the life of the man. From his power flowed the option of playing the game of letting him live and reap adoration.

Pezer has real instincts for weeding out insidious disingenuousness.

The movie had so much power when it came out, it was a complete moral and aesthetic triumph with genuinely memorable music too and cinematography.
Two Englishmen playing gentlemanly nazis.

Which is apart of why I am so loathsomely bored by Tarantino’s nazi as well.
Cant they ever manage to get a nazi on screen who is actually like nazis were?
But this is again the American softness - they. have. no. idea.

I said it was purely exploitative, yes. But now ill have to watch it.
Well played.

A Serious Man.
lol.
that is Jewish.

Yeah but that was an incredible movie.
Thats the only true statement ever made on film about nazism.
You may have to lie about it to your children.
And that is, of course, what Tarantino did. Except we aren’t children.

The weird part is how humans don’t even see that this is happening to them.

Well understanding what power is is a bit more complicated than that, sir. In brief, a ruler becomes momentarily vulnerable when he shows mercy. Those whom he controls question his ruthlessness in this moment, this act of kindness. If in this moment enough of him is already worthy of honor, this show of mercy does not appear as a weakness to those he controls. Genuine power is being able to risk this vulnerability without losing the respect and fear of those who one controls. So in the meantime, we’ll agree to disagree.

I disagree, sir, to disagree. You agree with me.

See:

"From his power flowed the option of playing the game of letting him live and reap adoration. "

An act which is understood by the men who serve under him, and is appreciated as a performance of magic.

Alter, they laugh and drink to the miserable continuation of the life of that beggar and all secretly know that it will not be miserable at all, that they have been gods, gifting no less than life itself.

Yet the power of the god is in the decision to give life, not in a reluctance to end one.

Nor in reluctance to spare one - and this is what the scene might be seen to be driving at if it had ended with “I believe you are drunk”, and it didn’t have that cringeworthy Spielbergian insistence that you feel and think exactly what he needs to you.

I know it’s hard for you that people have the innate power to falsify Gods by simply asking, “Is this violating my consent?”… a right I might add, that can never be taken from someone. You love yourself some dictators!! You cannot stand me, because I just told the world their Gods, or them themselves who want to be god (and you) are full of shit!

Additionally (edit), if I’m violating your consent – by all means feel free to say that I’m not your God!! That’s your innate right straight from the core of existence itself. You really don’t like waking up do you?

The best scene of the entire movie. :sunglasses:

Who violently abandoned my mother and me where I was adopted by a Christian Italian family at the age of four. You left some parts out.

According to Orthodox Jewish practices one is only deemed Jewish if their mother is Jewish, my mother was a German Catholic. Quit trying to conflate things. You can feel free to drop the personal attacks at any time Fixed otherwise we’ll have to start talking about an actual Dutch Jew [You] that somehow identifies with Nordic paganism simultaneously that is married to a Moroccan woman. How’s that for an interesting personal story backdrop?
