..all looks delicious MR, especially the mains/meat. What made you have the paleo dessert? and did it make you feel healthier than having the normal version?

I was getting coffee and it was at the counter, and I asked what it was. Then the hipster behind the counter started giving me like 100 adjectives like gluten free paleo free range cruelty free vegan and I just laughed and said, "I'll take it".

The food in this city has gone nuts. There's a restaurant here that's been nominated for most outstanding restaurant in the US by the James Beard Foundation for like 15 years straight and they finally won it this year. The competition has stepped up and so there's delicious stuff to eat on every corner.

My first attempt at making (not eating) paleo sushi.. it tasted way better than it looks  perhaps I should stick to temaki/hand rolls, as they will always come out looking good by default.

Nori is so versatile, that I will now always have some in store, for making temaki and healthy broths with, as the nutritional levels are insane.

Well.. one for now, and the other for brunch tomorrow.

About last week...

A pan-fried lamb-shoulder steak, with sauteed courgette.. the best part of the lamb IMO, as a slow cooker harbours more flavour - beef shin steak on today's dinner menu.

The beef shin steak didn't take as long as I thought it would to cook.. verdict: much more flavour than your regular cut of beef steak.
