What are you doing? (Part 1)

Fondly recollecting this years sweet corn crop…so tender and wonderous.

No, it’s a flavor of popcorn. Kettle corn is coated in butter and sugar flavoring so you get the savory element of both in every popped corn kernel.

Thanathots, there are better places to post racist memes and things you copy from the internet. I would respectfully ask that you just do your nazi stuff in another thread. This is a thread about what you’re doing. So posting racist pics is off topic. I commend you for being so creative as to manage to be off topic in a thread that is designed to cover almost any topic. However, your post is lazy, doesn’t even give an idea as to what you’re doing, contains no real text to speak of, and can serve little purpose other than to inflame other members based on racial ground or to demonstrate that you’re identifying yourself as whatever one is identified as who posts such things. It’s just divisive and not in a good way that facilitates a mature exchange of ideas. If you just don’t like Jewish people, then maybe start a thread about things that you don’t like and go at it there. This thread is for talking about what you’re doing.

Ahhh… our version of kettle corn is Butterkist, but its popularity has waned over the years, in favour of the current healthier more-natural options out there.

…I am currently channeling narcolepsy and napping in front of the TV.

10,774 posts later and no one has even come close to topping this:

I’m sitting on my couch, watching a video of the alabama/lsu game while smoking a bong and waiting for chinese food to be delivered. I was thinking of getting someone over here to clean the place. This is usually what I’m doing, I’ve seen this game about 130-140 times now.
Or I’m in the bathroom someplace, bored and using my phone to post on message boards while I poop.

He purred in jest.

Catching up on nearly 4 weeks worth of posts… family and political matters having kept me solely occupied.

Traders… the new Merchants of old, and we know how most of society feels about a Trader.

Yes, trade routes and traders/merchants played a key role in spread and evolution of ideas, and even influencing the course of history. It appears that the spread of phonetic alphabet was done by maritime merchants: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenician_alphabet

Phonecians also remind me of the Venetian maritime Republic. It was a maritime trade-based state, but also had quite formidable military (and is known as the place of the first assembly line…sorry Ford).

I met a guy who specialises in Naval History… I’m not sure what era, if any. but we didn’t talk about that… we/the small gathering talked about med-tech inventing, drug-testing tech at airports, common philosophy topics on forums, penny farthings, and who invented gears…

The links were very informative… and in them, the beginnings of the Muslim/Christian divide… evident, and so began the crusades… a burden the whole planet bears to this day and is left to resolve.

On similarities between the decline and fall of Roman Empire and the modern West.

Interesting comparison, though today we also have an important factor of increasing globalization through digital communications (increasing global culture).

…deciding to give anything I need to eat or drink with antihistamine a break. Slim but bloated (tummy) is not a good look

Alabama beat LSU again Saturday. They’ve beaten them every year since I made this thread.

Tidying up my pad, starting with the lounge… the landings and stairs are next on my hit-list… sisal flooring for the landings, and white floor paint and stair treads for the stairs.

You really didn’t want to see the before, but here is the after…

Ready for the party season…

…listening to what sounds like a wolf howling down the ends… never heard no dog make noise like that. :-k definitely a beast.

Very ‘Hounds of the Baskerville’-esque…

…thinking… why the fuck am I awake so early, and now I need something to eat, for I have the morning starves.

Whoever said it was a good idea to go to bed around 8 and rise at 4, who…? oh yeah, a friend of mine. The boring hours, I prefer the bewitching ones… the ones after dusk ; )

My sleep schedule is totally random. I took a nap Wednesday afternoon and woke up around 9pm. Then stayed awake until about 9pm on Thursday. Then today I was up again at 6am or so, got coffee, ran an errand and came home to watch football. Took 2 brief naps one in the morning and one in the afternoon both while on the couch. Then ran some more errands, got home around midnight and now I’m back watching tv and may or may not fall asleep. Who knows?

Also, a guy shot 2 people in a mall about a mile from here earlier. One of the victims was a 12 year old girl. She’s alive and talking and at a hospital. The other was an 18 year old dude. He’s critical and at a different hospital. The shooter was immediately gunned down in the mall in front of a massive crowd and there’s a video and some still shots of his corpse on twitter.

The mall is closed until further notice, which means that the other nearby mall will be absolutely packed tomorrow for the day after Thanksgiving sales.

I can’t emphasize enough the importance of just buying everything on Amazon.

Alabama beats Oklahoma to secure a spot in the national championship game. 4 years in a row it’s Alabama vs Clemson. If we win the next game, then we’ve got 3 out of the last 4 championships.

I can’t believe this thread is still going.

I can’t believe you’re back. :open_mouth:
