Trump enters the stage

Ask not for whom an ominous sense of politically dispairing futility hangs,

It hangs for fascistoids.

The Senate unanimously passed a resolution condemning Trump’s declaration dismissive of the press totally, by stating that the press is the enemy of the people.

I can’t think of expressing it more powtically then that, it’s stark reality is almost beyond description as it is.

2nd set back

Trum publicly rebuked the Mueller investigation by comparing Nixon’s problems pre impeachment with McArthy-ism , in a subtle attempt to shift the fulcrum of public opinion severely to the right, as the wheels of justice grind on.

As his travails being comparable with McArthy ism as red baiting and fake .

The Jewish/Zionist owned press is corrupt to the core and their agenda is to dismantle the sovereignty and the peoples of this country with a one world global agenda that will steamroll over every nations human individual rights and economic freedoms, we will support their wellbeings but not our own or our countries, only Israel will shine untouched as they do now no matter how many Palestinians they kill or how much money they funnel out of every nation worldwide with their victim shenanigans. The big press outlets support that agenda with their fear mongering and divisive, downright anti-american propaganda that always slants the news in favor of that progressive agenda…ta hell with conserving American ideals and values, ta hell with a man and woman wedding and having children that they actually raise to be responsible, well informed, thinking adults,… [Edited rant]

What justice? The liberal’s kind of justice?

Not necessarily, but here is Trump over the weekend saying. " We are in a period of history, when Mueller and his gang make MCCarthy look like a baby! A witch hunt.

There seems a disappearance of reasonable assessment on this defensive posture of revising history, almost creating an ameliatipn of good and bad, dictators were adept at revising history, so as to present a favorable picture of them for posterity.
All of them did the very thing.
But, if, and that is a huge if, that present situations make such a move imperative- and that has been noted before in a prior blog-as if the state of the world absolutely requires it’s- than, that hypothetical should be noted as well. History will certainly be the judge of that.

IF all facts will be able to be delianated from fiction .
Then a historian exclaimed a few decades ago, that we are living post history, in apocalyptic times.

But getting there, that is again hidden in conjectures and almost magical infusions of anomalie.

Just out: Trump is worried that appearing on an interview with Mueller could be a perjury trap, and finally that he has not yet decided whether to strip away Mueller’s security clearance and / or tale other counter measures.

Meanwhile Mr. Dean , whom Nixon fired under very similar circumstances , fired out a harsh rebuttal to his stripping of the security clearance for talking adversely about Trump.

Why does an ex-CIA officer still have a security clearance anyway?

Security clearances: How do they work?
JUL 23, 2018 5:58 PM EDT POLITICS
CBS NEWS

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Monday that the administration may seek to revoke the security clearances of a number of Trump critics. According to Sanders, the security clearances of former CIA director John Brennan, former CIA director Michael Hayden, former national security adviser Susan Rice, former director of national intelligence James Clapper, former FBI director James Comey, and former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe are all being examined.

After weeks of walk-backs, Trump calls Russia investigation “a big hoax”
Why we’re talking about this

Sanders made the announcement after Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, said Monday that he would urge President Trump to revoke Brennan’s clearance. Brennan, who served under President Obama, most recently incurred to administration’s ire for describing Mr. Trump’s performance at last week’s summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin as “treasonous.” Paul tweeted on Monday that Brennan was “divulging secrets to the mainstream media” in order to damage Mr. Trump politically.

In his tweet, Paul didn’t present any evidence to support his accusation, but the White House appears to have jumped on it regardless. “The fact that people with security clearances are making these baseless charges provides inappropriate legitimacy to accusations with zero evidence,” Sanders said.

How security clearances work

There are many kinds of security clearances and many different types of access. CIA directors and deputy directors, for example, have access to some of America’s most closely-held secrets. Your standard CIA employee, while still have a high security clearance by federal government standards, does not have the same level of access. And when a CIA director leaves, he or she is bumped to down to the basic level of clearance.

“When I walked out the door, I was actually removed from access to a whole bunch of extremely sensitive material because there was a determination made that I didn’t need to have that – the government didn’t need me to have that,” former Acting CIA Director Michael Morell told CBS News on Monday. “But I kept that basic level of security clearance.”

Listen to this episode on Stitcher
Former high-ranking government employees can in some cases ask for and receive a security briefing on a certain subject. But the purpose of extending security clearances is to help the U.S. government, not the people who have them.

Trump considering revoking security clearances of former intel officials
“It’s not just a courtesy,” Morell said. “For as long as I have been aware, which is probably two decades, former senior officials have kept their clearances. And the purpose is not to benefit the individual. It’s to benefit the government. So, for example, I go into CIA regularly and I help them think through issues, I talk to people, I’m there to assist in any variety of ways. I also serve on a government commission that I could not serve on without having my clearances.”

Morell also said that he has never asked for a briefing “on anything” since leaving the government.

“I’ve been given a lot of briefings because a director or a deputy director or another senior official wanted me to know something because they wanted to ask me a question or get my reaction to something, but I’ve never asked. So I don’t know what the reaction would be if I asked ‘hey, can I get a briefing on the Russia investigation?’ I think the answer would be, ‘no, Michael, you can’t.’”

In the case of former CIA directors, the agency “holds” their security clearance and renews it every five years for the rest of their lives. However, that requires former CIA directors to behave like current CIA employees if they want to keep their clearance, which means avoiding travel to certain countries and generally living in a manner above reproach.

Other former government employees can keep their security clearances if they move to a private sector job where they work with classified information, such as at a defense contractor. The company would then apply to the government for someone to keep or receive a security clearance. The security officers at the different agencies then grant or rule if someone can keep their clearances.

Hundreds if not thousands of private companies apply for their employees to receive security clearances. In an interview with Bloomberg earlier this year, the CEO of Lockheed Martin said that 60,000 of her employees have a security clearance of some kind.

There is also a substantial backlog of people awaiting their security clearances. Last fall, some 700,000 people were still awaiting a security clearance – including some top White House officials.

In 2017, the General Accountability Office said that security clearances constituted a “high risk” for the U.S. because so many people have them. According to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, roughly 4.2 million Americans had or were eligible to have a security clearance as of late 2015.

Morell says that it’s fair to ask whether everyone who has a security clearance should have one, but doesn’t think that’s what the Trump administration is doing here.

“It’s not inappropriate to ask the question – does doing this make sense? Does allowing former senior officials to keep these clearances make sense…it’s not an unreasonable question to ask,” Morell said. “That’s not what [Mr. Trump] is doing here. This is all about taking a shot at former senior officials who are criticizing him. That’s what this is about. Nothing else.”

Not everyone the White House is targeting still has a clearance

According to McCabe’s spokesperson, he no longer has a security clearance because he was fired.

The same apparently is true of Comey, according to his friend Ben Wittes, because he was also fired. Meanwhile, Hayden said that revoking his clearance wouldn’t have any effect on what he says.

“I don’t go back for classified briefings,” Hayden, who served under President George W. Bush, told CBS News on Monday. “Won’t have any effect on what I say or write.”

Hope this helps. I think it’s more traditional then a legal requirement.

Which of the 8 are about Trump’s Russian collusion rather than Manafort being a dirty businessman in general? None. Nothing about Russia at all. A waste of tax dollars that could have been handled under less costly circumstances.

So basically, there are millions of people running around with varying levels of national security clearances who do not currently work in our government…that’s ridiculous. No wonder there are leaks.

Again, Wendy, the Manaford case seems not directly connected. It the Cohen case has a big problem
That is: the hush money to pay off the prostitutes.

Now I certainly agree that this may turn out to be a far stretch, and You may be wondering why write documentary in an art forum.politics being a form of art, based on artful deception, even that does not phase one who has admiration for Machiavelli.

But this is post modern U.S., and its surprising that a convertible paranoia is used in body politic. The stakes are high right now, extremely, definitely so for this our country and for that matter for the world.it is basically a method to the necessary madness to lay the ground rules of what the future form of the existence, or the non existence of what they have come to define as : the New World Order, or its deconstructed demise.

This is why all these fire works are mere fodder to feed the inexhaustible hunger of interested parties.

However, ofsmall matters, huge ones can grow, size matters very much, and the tiniest element missed can ignite the whole nine yards. Why do you think Trump traveled to meet Kim? The most powerful representative of the highest power on earth , to placate an infinitesimally less unimportanc?

A nice goliath fearfully crouching before a mighty David? This is s reversal of precision bombing with the usual fashion haute of. the US propagans machine. No, this is no longer about Trump, a tired over inflated has been who has nothing except the liens who are holding him to the pillar, a tired bad act, who can only repeat mantras such as: You’re fired, for which, no prize given, becomes the repeated repertory of a life, full of over estimated paranoia, whose immense potential was miss, simply because the re was inappropriate, and over estimated.
That is the huge problem, and not that of a scared old man, with hands tied to a mitary industrial machine with astronomical powers.
It is with pity that I see in this typecast derelict of a neo New York underworld, who have been straight for such a long time, that they have actually morphed into rather nice and unassuming people.

No , it is sheer power, of which Trump pupettmeers, have gone down to the holy frail of preposterous caricatures.
I for one, I pray to the gods, that they can reel it in.

Incidentally it was Nixon’s mentor Eisenhower, who so prophetically warned of the rise of that power, whereby on exit, Nixon spoke a tour-De-force about his fears of the coming of fascism.

I do not fear power, neither the worn out cliche about corruption by absolute power. Perhaps that is all that’s left, a necessary ameliation.

Perhaps. So I shall continue my report from the underground.

Here is a rod bit about the outcome of the fiasco, agreed or not, its quite sensible:

The Beginning of the End: Trump Isn’t Coming Back from This.
By Jason Miciak / PolitiZoom -August 22, 20181080

MSNBC / YouTube Fuzzy Grasp On Numbers Seems To…
MSNBC / YouTube
By now you know, former Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen on Tuesday admitted that he made an illegal campaign contribution with President Donald Trump’s knowledge and direction. In other words, at this point there’s no need for Michael Cohen to testify for the Special Counsel’s office, he just plead guilty to a crime that implicates President Trump directly, Cohen could not have committed the felony to which he just plead guilty to, without Trump also having committed the same crime.

That is a big deal.

You know it is a big deal when Fox buries the entire story, as The Five on Fox acted as if the president’s closest friends and advisers plea guilty to felonies all the time, perhaps that IS true with respect to THIS president: Transcript via Rawstory:

“I know that Cohen isn’t squeaky clean. I know that Manafort isn’t squeaky clean. Hell, I know Trump isn’t squeaky clean,” he said.

Gutfeld added, “This isn’t about these guys, this is about reversing an election. That’s all this is. People are getting so wrapped up in it, and there is real stuff going on. It’s not breaking news that Cohen is a fixer.”

He would have said the same thing about Obama, had Obama had a “fixer” and not been so squeaky clean.

It is true that it is not breaking news that Cohen is a fixer, however if he had added that the thing Cohen plead guilty to – fixing a problem with a porn star in a manner that involved a felony violation of federal election laws, at Trump’s express direction, now that is breaking news. That actually is “real stuff going on.” From The New York Times::

[Cohen] made the extraordinary admission that he paid a pornographic actress “at the direction of the candidate,” referring to Mr. Trump, to secure her silence about an affair she said she had with Mr. Trump. Mr. Cohen told a judge in United States District Court in Manhattan that the payment was “for the principal purpose of influencing the election” for president in 2016.

Wow.

The guilty plea could represent a pivotal moment in the investigation into the president: a once-loyal aide acknowledging that he made payments to at least one woman who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump, in violation of federal campaign finance law. Mr. Cohen had been the president’s longtime fixer, handling his most sensitive business and personal matters. He once said he would take a bullet for Mr. Trump. The investigation of Mr. Cohen had focused in part on his role helping to arrange financial deals to secure the silence of women who said they had affairs with Mr. Trump, including Stephanie Clifford, an adult film actress better known as Stormy Daniels.

This is not the end of Trump, but it is the beginning of the end. He can no longer claim witch hunt, not claim it and have anyone serious listen. This is a president whose campaign manager, and long-term “lawyer/fixer” have both plead guilty to felonies. True, Manafort’s felonies do not touch directly upon Trump – yet. But they DO touch directly upon work done in the Ukraine on behalf of Russian interests, and isn’t that interesting? Russia, again.

To the great one, Charlie Pierce, we bow:

This is a mortal blow to the administration*, which may stagger around for a year or so before it falls over and crushes people, but there is no way I can see that this gets any better for the president* or the people around him. The president* and his fixer paid off Stormy Daniels, and also paid off a tabloid media company, in order to bury stories about the president*’s wandering Donald, and did so in direct violation of even those campaign finance laws that Anthony Kennedy left in place. That’s an open admission of a crime involving the President* of the United States and, as CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin pointed out, that’s something that never happened even during Watergate. In the immortal words of Micheal Ray Richardson, the ship be sinking.

Notice we just went through a clear case for impeachment, and didn’t need to bring up Russia? Ironically, on this same day, Manafort was found guilty of crimes that do not touch Trump directly, but do arise out of money made doing business for …Russia, in the Ukraine. The jury convicted him of 8 of 18 charges, enough to send him to prison for the rest of his life, and Manafort still faces trial on other charges touching much more directly upon Russia, in the next few months. Manafort will soon be making a deal, unless he is so afraid of polonium that even prison looks better. Let us also please not forget that this is the same president whose first choice for National Security Adviser couldn’t make it to the inauguration without lying to the FBI, about Russia, again, Russia. It is a president who couldn’t name an attorney general without having the attorney general lie during his confirmation proceedings about …Russia, and then recuse himself from all things Russia in the administration, something for which Trump has yet to forgive him.

Back to Pierce:

More to our purposes, though, it is now plain that the Trump campaign in 2016 was merely a vehicle for various grifters and opportunists to get rich. I still believe none of these people had the foggiest notion that Trump would become president*. But if your primary goal in life is to grab enough loot from enough places, a political campaign is a nice fat turkey to be sliced up. So I think they all had their own agendas, including the president*, and all of them were sort of in business for themselves, but under the Trump flag, as the Gambinos used to put it. Most of them had been working in a corrupt business enterprise for decades before it turned itself into a political campaign and then a presidency*.

We have reason to believe that Mueller does not think he possesses the authority to indict a sitting president for crimes committed while in office. But, Cohen just plead guilty to an act that involved an felony that took place prior to Trump ever taking office, same as Cohen. What Mueller will do with this is still anyone’s guess, but …

Not only does this represent the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency, but it puts the Brett Kavanaugh nomination in serious jeopardy, not the least because the entire presidency itself seems more and more an illegitimate criminal enterprise, borne of an illegitimate international criminal conspiracy, involving a criminal conspirator who knew of the crime to put him into the presidency. Whether such a president, one in such peril, should have the ability to appoint Supreme Court justices would be an important enough question. But, given that Kavanaugh has written and commented extensively on his antagonism to the idea of investigating presidents while in office, it would seem that he would be a particularly tough sell right now, as every Democratic Senator can point out that this president obviously could foresee the future and just happened to pick a man who might find the whole investigation to be unconstitutional, or at least rule his way.

We can’t know how it is all going to play out. After all, with a president that is so obviously a Russian agent, it is rather amazing that the first confirmed felony established against him would be a campaign finance law violation involving a porn star. But, we do know that today was not just another day, that important things are going on here (or else Fox might’ve reported on it), and, though today didn’t end the Trump presidency, it certainly marked the beginning of the end.

How anyone could remain as head of state of a Western democracy after the first of the many allegations has been proven, is beyond my understanding. That those who wield the mechanisms to check this outrage do not pull those levers is beyond my understanding. That those who operate a government at such high and obvious levels of corruption and criminality without all persuasions of society, be they left or right, not screaming in fury is beyond my understanding. In a banana republic, or a dictatorship, yes the foregoing would be the norm. But in the United States of America,… Read more »

I agree with the two previous comments. When the Democrats gain control of the House after the mid-term elections, impeachment will soon follow.
However, to convict a President (and remove him), the Senate must find him guilty (after a hearing) by a two-thirds majority vote. Does anyone really feel any of the Republicans in the Senate will go along with the Democrats on this…or anything for that matter?!

Time for the Party of tRump to double down and deflect. How could tRump have known that everyone who was appointed to the cabinet or to the Whites-only House staff was actually an unconvicted criminal? Who knew background checks and diligent vetting could be so complicated? Lock her…er…er…er…him up!

As of today, Wednesday, August 23, 2018, the contingencies are ready if Trump fires Mueller, including demonstrations in major cities of the US, and special rules of order being introduced to the Senate to retroactively pass resolutions to prevemt another Saturday Night Massacre from taking place.

Or maybe all that is fake news. I mean, Fox never brought any of this up so I mean…it could just be fake news.

Yes, fake news. The verdicts, heck the indictments, have nothing to do with Russia or are you in denial of objective reality too? The Ukraine is not Russia.

Russia wants to annex the rest of it and Manafort was working for a candidate for Ukranian president who was pro Russia. Then he got in debt to the Russians. Connect the dots. Trump’s sons have publicly stated that they get a lot of investment from Russia and Trump, in a most historic fashion refuses to be transparent about his finances.

What dots? Is Trump in debt to the Russians? Does Trump financial status rely solely on Russian income? Does Trump conduct business with many other countries as well who do not have American interests as their top priority? Has Trump colluded with them all, their government hackers, to win the presidency as well? Should Mueller expand his investigation to include all countries who serve their own interests against the US?

Russia wants the Syrian oil pipeline to go their direction, US allies want the pipeline to go elsewhere, connect the dots yourself.

If Trump’s finances were up for debate Mueller would be storming all of Trump’s residences to raid in a snatch and grab, that you can bet on.

No one can answer those questions about his finances, which is some kind of huge coincidence with the fact that he’s the 1st president in since for fucking ever ago who won’t be transparent about his economic interests. He’s been bankrupt repeatedly. So if he isn’t now, then he either retrained himself in the ways of financial discipline or there’s something else preventing him from going bankrupt again. No one knows what it is or might be.

I don’t think Mueller would do that in the way that you think he would. You don’t seem to see how tact on the part of the special council is picking Trump’s team off one by one. In the end, it doesn’t matter if a million idiots worship him. That won’t stop him from being prosecuted. You’re like the person who keeps screaming that there’s no evidence as these guys are pleading guilty all around him just because you haven’t seen a press conference with Mueller coming out and making evidence public. Willful ignorance…right.

Trump has serious self esteem issues and has got to be worried to death. Guliani came out and confessed for him on national TV. Now he’s saying truth isn’t truth. They don’t want to talk to investigators because they’re afraid of perjuring themselves. It’s a clown show in the white house and you’re just sticking to your guns with the witch hunt thing. Imagine if seeming like you weren’t in control was your biggest fear. Now you’re in Trump’s shoes. I can’t wait for him to start tweeting again.

Nothing Mueller has done so far links Trump to Russian collusion. Mueller coercing Trump confidants to testify against him to get off on other charges shouldn’t stand up in a real court, but in a kangaroo court that our DOJ is becoming, it wouldn’t surprise me, but that won’t stop the riots and possible civil war that would follow a trumped up Trump arrest and trial.

So the party of law and order gonna riot and raise hell if their criminal bigot can’t remain in power illegally?

You a member of the Manson family or something? Sitting at home thinking about race wars and shit?

Have you spoken to a counselor about any of this?

Were the jurors who convicted Manafort today part of a kangaroo court?
