Eurovision 2018 Winner

Ugh… I do hope that this song does not become viral now (like that stupid Gangham style song did). They really went the wrong way about addressing the issue of a woman’s image. Now the big girls are fat…anndd stupid - except now, the whole package is going to be perceived as cool, too. (clucking included).
sigh It’s this kind of wanton and overly aggressive attitude that’s giving women’s rights movement a bad rep.

So, this is what the revolting and disgusting culture of the E.U. looks like? :-"

I found this year’s show to be quite a modern affair…

Sweden: to like or not to like… I don’t know…
Cyprus: making like Beyonce, but still don’t win…
The rest: obviously unforgettable, coz I vaguely remember them…

Sweden, let me guess a hood covered Muslim woman singing? The national pride of Sweden no doubt.

No! this:

Not what I expected from Sweden… music wise. An older Beiber, perhaps? he’s smarmy, but still likeable,

My guess it’s probably a political statement: Euryope showing solidarity with Israel - because nobody really liked that song! It was trying to be radical and new, okay, but at the same time, it was not tastefully done at all.

Besides, if they really wanted to send a message of empowering women, they could have chosen Slovenia for that. It had a much better presentation of this issue.

[In an official video, Sweden looked like it tried to go back to the 80ies, and I’m not sure how to feel about it. I love 80ies, but it’s not really the same when a new generation tries to copy it]

Netanyahu’s illegitimate daughter? :sunglasses:

Didn’t know Israel could be classified as being European. When Israel makes orders the E.U. barks apparently.

Thanks Pandabear for sharing the horror.

I guess if you don’t want something to go viral, don’t embed it and post it and start a discussion about it.

Expecting Eurovision to come up with something meaningful is, well, delightfully optimistic.
