Max Stirner: Communist Fraternities

For some years I’ve been interested in the ideas of Max Stirner. Stirner’s idea of organising society was based on the union of egoists. He taught to live yourself out, own yourself and to own the world as a means to self-fulfilment. It seems to me that the best way to reach self-fulfilment is to socialise our desires. Expanding our greed to link up with like minded individuals. But communist economies are very delicate and fragile. Maybe it is possible to keep the markets in a new system, but, to provide communist fraternities for those who wish to live as such. These fraternity members need not live as a commune but as a city network. Security, education, health etc. could all be provided by these fraternities. Maybe marriage could be abolished for some kind of alternative system. If you avoid a commune you can avoid the group think and mind slavery of the commune.

If you haven’t read Max Stirner yet here’s a pdf:https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/max-stirner-the-ego-and-his-own.pdf

I have Stirner’s book on my shelf, I just need to sit down and read it…
I am interested in the claim that much of Nietzsche is based on Stirner…
having read much of Nietzsche, I will be looking for this connection…

in a book like Stirner… one that is often talked about but rarely read…
people often put in their own interpretation about what is in the book…
even if they haven’t read it… can’t wait to finally read this book I have
been hearing about for 20 years…

Yes they are very close. Their interpretations of the Greek conflation of happiness and truth, the impulsive blond beast, critique of Christianity, etc…are both very similar.

When Stirner wrote that the Greeks arrived at a realization that there are no natural predications, Nietzsche at the same time claimed that the Greek morality (Master morality) arrived at Nihilism. Interesting to see a recurring asceticism coming from and evolving into nihilism. Another problem is the idea of man as natural, well then I guess there would be natural predications, analytic truths, synthetic a priori? It is troubling to reconcile and weigh the arrival nihilism…

Feuerbach, Stirner, R. W. Emerson, Heraclitus, and Schopenhauer are the best thinkers to consider when you’re looking for a Nietzsche exegesis (Kropotkin).

As for the communist fraternities, Communist economies do not work. I can’t name one successful “Communist” economist or country that did not eventually except the truth of a mixed economy. I am not a neo-classicist, nor a communist, nor a demo-socialist, nor a capitalist…the best economy is the mixed economy. We don’t need to abolish the wage labour system or marriage to avoid group think and the mind slavery of the commune. Just install subtle policies to unmask the deception of the goods markets.

Max Stirner and „communist fraternities“? No. Those communist fraternities are the opposite of an auto-consumist ego in Max Stirner’s ethical egoism/individualism, individualistic liberalism/anarchism or egoistic anarchism.

Egosim/individualism is the opposite of communism/socialism. According to communists/socialists an ego/individual is like nay other subject and as a such a part of a class, has nothing to say, is almost nothing. According to egoists/individualists a class is like any other non-ego and as a such an oppressor of the ego, an opponent of the individual, an enemy of the one as the free one, a dictator of the subject.

Where did you get that nonsense from? From the internet? Stirner was already dead when Nietzsche was 12 years „old“ .
