Beats

These hats are pretty funky though arent they? I keep liking that beat. Its made on an 8 bit soundcard, most bob dylan samples. Not the hihats though. These I took from the first Wu album I think. Looong ago . The beats you favor have the most hiphop quality. Theyre the best beats to rap to.

I thought of posting these after Pezer said he’d heard this rap track on your account that he was listening to again. I couldnt find anything of the sort though, what was he talking about?

Chakra, that is very cool to hear. Some people love that beat. I made it drunk after I had seen this incredible girl at a party and I was convinced Id win her as my girlfriend. That never happened.

I think Pezer is talking about this one. It was experimental and done with very little patience. I could have developed it better but I was on a video making binge so it ended up being little more than me rapping a Geto Boys song in a wave cap and a flannel, gangsta style (buttoned at the top). This is also a first take… and you’ll see me looking to my right at the people walking by thinking “what the hell is wrong with that dude?” lol

Thats pretty convincing. You actually resemble Ice Cube somewhat in physiological comportment. We could get a rapgroup together. PWA.

If we had an opportunity to make music together, I certainly wouldn’t want to spend it making rap music. Once in a while we could do one, but not routinely. So you know what that means: you boys better learn how to play an instrument other than the skin flute.

I play and arrange all melodies, no sequence in any of the beats is sampled. Only components, single, somethings double notes, chords in the sample beats. Also I can sing much better than I can rap. I play decent rums and a bit of guitar and saxophone.

Scratch that.

If I had the opportunity to make only rap music with you guys, or no music, I would take the rap music but on one condition: it would have to incorporate some kind of parodying into it. It would have to be critical of rap music in the form of rap music, but better. This is called the Zappa effect.

Merely the thought of thinking of you, Pezer and me on stage or in a video together rapping gives me fits of laughter, so yeah trust me, I know where we stand.

Eminem made it impossible for white people to rap without self parodying anyway -our schtick would inevitably be that we are far nuttier than Eminem. We could probably pass as pikeys.

I fucking hate pikeys

yeah but atleest well getus a caravan!

A really simple beat from the factory sound. I personally like the quacky rhythm.

here’s a pretty empty one with a funky bassline that could be made into something. The flutes are terrible.

And here is a kind of porn soundtrack with a happy ending.

None of these beats have a hook or a chorus, so it would make a very repetitive song, if you are expecting us to add rap or instrumentals to this. One of them also has clipping issues. What soundfont did you use?

i don’t know what kind of porn you be watchin’, maybe ‘Mech-Girls Gone Wild’ windows 95 dos edition?

Some of them have hooks, sort of, but most do not, I am very bad at song structure, especially on the machine I have now, which just does not permit for any real editing, I just have to record lines and then use a wheel to turn them of and on one by one in the arrangement. Pretty much impossible to do right.

Clipping issues, I have no idea … you might mean roughly cut samples.
Sound font? No idea. What kind of software is that relevant for? I do need to learn to use Ableton or something.

I’m very much aware none of these are real songs. They do all contain some melodic or rhythmic ideas that I like.

Some raps. I the second mc in the first and the third in the second.

(This is to an Eminem beat plus a whole slew of samples from David Letterman and Madonna and more)

And heres a beat I made with my friend the Brazilian Machine behind the Trillion Keys,
that is to say I was doing the melody and he the percussions, which he was just learning, having only just acquired an MPC.

That was a good summer. A truckload of work from these weeks got lost but this one survived.

In fact, the MPC crashed and we didn’t have a save file of the arrangement, but we made this provisory recording just before.

I listened to the first two.
I like them a lot.
Thank you for uploading.
Sorry that I did not participate earlier.
I didn’t know you had uploads like this.

Im all about the uploads… pathetically so, most of then have completely negligible view count
But I do it to have a library for myself too. Just recording life.
Ive got about 15 youtube accounts and a bunch of audio accounts here and there as well in the jungle.
Thats how I see the web viscerally, as a jungle. Though it dries up when I am not uploading.

Heres the latest sound cloud account, I used this for the rap battle between Carleas and me.
