“Love is the gravity of the soul.”==Abstract

“No man is an island… .”–John Donne

Here’s a couple of good bits of advice from Levitucus, which I follow to the letter.

22 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.

23 Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.

Everyone, but everyone loves a little bit of genocide, especially on a Sunday.

I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude.
Henry David Thoreau

Jean-Paul Sartre

Prudence is an ugly old maid courted by incapacity.—Wm. Blake

The fox blames the trap, not himself.—Wm. Blake

Either you are a hypocrite or your beliefs are suspiciously convenient ones.

The love of economy is the root of all virtue.
George Bernard Shaw

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life. It goes on.” -Robert Frost

Could this have a flipside? The love of virtue is the root of all economy.

Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the men of old; seek what they sought.
—Basho

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter.
—Blaise Pascal

“Since all the Riches of this World
May be the gifts from the Devil & Earthly Kings,
I should suspect that I worship’d the Devil
If I thanked my God for Worldy things.”–Wm. Blake

Get yourself out of the way, and let joy have more space.”

a mirror to the power that created the universe
whatever you want, ask it of yourself
whatever you’re looking for can only be found
inside of you”

“God, if I worship Thee in fear of hell, burn me in hell. And if I worship Thee in hope of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise; but if I worship Thee for Thine own sake, withhold not Thine everlasting Beauty.”–Rabi’a (A Sufi saint.)
