No I didn’t. I think someone else posted it on ILO just to piss me off
Anyway, you can post whatever you like where you like but I’m posting more indie (slightly less commercial) stuff most people outside Oz may not have heard.
Since you posted Men At Work, I might post some of the lead singers solo stuff – he’s a Scottish Australian (not a real one) – but I like his stuff anyway
Colin Hay’s “Beautiful World” is a favorite of the one’s I’ve listened to so far. But there are lots of good sounds on these posts. I also liked Brendan Perry and Matt Corby a lot. The two Ruben songs I listened to had a great sound. Sorry. I just sampled a few songs from each performer, but you’ve got a lot of good performers here. I’ll be glad to hear more as possible.
Hey Samm. My apologies for the delayed response (I only can pop back every so often) but I’m glad you like some of them. I’ll post some more as I get time and since ILO has vanished from the face of the earth (the sister site of this one), I won’t worry if I’ve posted some tracks previously.
The Art of Sleeping – One Hundred Thousand
(this is on a playlist so it automatically plays another band when this track is finished.) myspace.com/music/player?sid=89063314&ac=now
Howdy Ms Nat Hope you and family are doing well.
The last PM I got from you was a 'Happy New Year" on December 24 – nothing since…
Love that Graney song, too. My favourite. Too much style and class for one person (who said white people can’t move?)— just “keepin’ it unreal” as he says
I love this Graney track, too. A song he wrote about a rock legend (like Jim Morrison) who hides by becoming a rock and roll star – the last place anyone would expect to find him.

Winter People – My Town (Cockatoo Is)
Filmed on an island which was part of the suburb I grew up in. It was such a great place to go exploring as kids. A real island with a real history of convict prisons, WW2 dockyards where they brought in the ships after the big South Pacific battles, horrible stories about what relatives who worked there saw and tales of ghosts… lots of ghost stories youtube.com/watch?v=mWC76mkNRXg
He often likes to finish off his gigs with this smutty Led Zepplin/Howling Wolf cover. I think it’s what musicians call a ‘happy ending’? Kim Churchill – Lemon Song (cover) youtube.com/watch?v=W62hFB8flQk
