Epic Rap Battle - discussion thread

Who do you think deserves the can of whoop ass?

This has been really, really fucking rad. Impious, good shit.

Good rhymes Carleas. I just made my decision.

i guess i should open the thing up for public opinion.

I liked Carleas’s flow and his lyrics though Impious produced his at a much higher quality.

warning, these are offensive.

I’m in the crowd somewhere

this is the style i’m used to, so this battle was a bit different.

Now that was cool. My second offering was rushed and uninspired but I was happy with the other two although the first one should have been longer. Carleas, I kindof like your style but find it a bit flat, personally. Wonderer, thanks for taking the time to listen to them all carefully and make a decision. I reckon you should take part in the next one if you have the software capability- I wanna hear your own hardcore style in motion.

Yeah, I wrestled with the flatness as best I could. You should have heard the first few recordings, they were like Stephen Hawking in double time. The dudes in those videos definitely have the inflection down pat.

Your last one was your best all around. It was great lyrically, and had good flow.

What software did you use? I used GarageBand, and I couldn’t quite get the beat and the vocals to sound like they were on the same track. It always sounded like I was sitting in front of a computer. I mean, I was sitting in front of a computer, but I didn’t want it to sound that way.

I enjoyed that little foray into rap-battling - let me know when you guys want me to set up another one: I’ll be only too happy to oblige…

Ding ding, round II :stuck_out_tongue:

I used Cubase 4, but I don’t think I’ve got the full version; there are practically no fx tools and the like.
