Edit/delete old posts

I would like the ability to edit/delete old posts from years ago

I don't know if there is some time limit set for how recent the post needs to be, but there are some from like, upwards of 7,8 years ago I would like to clean up

Please let me know if you can accommodate this request

The ability to edit/delete posts lasts for 48 hours. After that, the posts are frozen.

This is a reaction to several cases in which posters have gone back and deleted/cleared all of their old posts, ruining threads and making them difficult to follow.

Well if that decision could be reversed I would be greatly appreciative

I understand that it could make threads difficult to follow, but I would really like to clean up my history (so to speak) for personal reasons
