keeps happening.. every few days.. for hours at a time, and has been going on for months now. Can this be resolved Carleas?
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Reset iPhone and iPad network settings
1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap on General.
3. Scroll down all the way to the bottom and tap on Reset.
4. Tap on the option to Reset Network Settings.
5. If you have a password lock on your iPhone or iPad, you'll be asked to enter it now.
6. Confirm you want to reset your network settings by tapping on the red button labeled Reset Network Settings.
7. Your device will reboot.

Or rather, I confirmed that it's a problem with ILP, namely that in certain circumstances a user's IP will be added to the firewall blacklist temporarily. That's why it's intermittent, hard to track down, and doesn't cause any notification to be sent (because the IP that checks to see if the site is still working doesn't get blacklisted).
Fortunately, I know where to look. Unfortunately, it isn't simple to fix and will take me a little while. Fortunately, it's intermittent and user specific. Unfortunately, there's not really anything a user can do when it happens, other than wait it out.
Thanks for your continued pestering, Mags.

I'm happy to ban you if you like, you just haven't earned a ban for cause. Your posts may be shite, but not everything that is shite is banworthy.
