Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.

Seems man has mastered the winds … the waves … the tides … now all sources of renewable energy.
Seems man has discovered new laws of gravity … gravitational waves.
Maybe then … for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire … is just around the corner.
Imagination is more important than knowledge according to Einstein.

Can something be discovered twice? though I think you’re being metaphorical here… reinventing fire is like reinventing the wheel… impossible, or simply put… a lie.
