Philosophy’s need to _“understand itself” is akin to understanding the self.(As persona) Nietzche overcoming has its roots in pessimism, that of Schopenhauer’s vanity. The vanity he talked about, and all derivatives, have to do with the eschalogical, and hermenautic development of the ego. The reduction (pehenmonoligical) is a reAction to the “willed” ego, the over comer, whose overcoming has come down watershed, disillusioned. The existential reaction, is like the aims of yogi practice. Existentialism for Kierkegaard( and I bring him in is because his religious notion “saves” the reduction by a hierarchy of values i-topped by aesthetics and God. Agnostics and Atheists would fall trough the redemptive nature of God,and fall through to the Nietzche abyss, was it not for further regressions into deconstruction. But that leads to valueless, and this is what is happening. for agnostics, the remembrance is retraced to schopenhauer’s Buddhism.
