What do you think St. Augustine meant when he posed the question, "What do I love when I love my God?

Probably referring the qualities that characterises God; His goodness, truth, beauty, because those were qualities that filled Augustine with awe.
I believe his Confessions points to that; also remember he was influenced to some degree by Platonism; All three qualities true about God were qualities that Plato wrote about and tried to show that they existed beyond the normal sense perception. :D
