Spin

We are told that atomic ‘spin’ a la QM
is not ‘spin as we know it’.

I have long proposed that atomic
spin is a blend of TWO spins: a
rotating Galaxy-like disc is also
precessing at TWICE its rate
of rotation. I have used it to
illustrate Benzene and Neon,
for example.

I use one rotation of the disc locked
together with two precessions of the
disc. One would show this as 1:2

Now, I see that ‘ordinary’ spin
is ALSO a member of the
two-spins-blended family:
it is one rotation per zero
precessions- 1:0
The faster the rotation, the more
strongly it is enforced that there
be NO PRECESSION.

So, ordinary rotation is actually complex:
it is the first in the series 1:0, 1:1, 1:2, etc.
