I think you will have advantages over most people. Certainly most people who are addicted to their technology and have led comfy lives. Given your background you will likely have a much faster learning curve when dealing with threats, and you will be much less squeemish about using deadly force if necessary. I have little doubt you are a tough guy, would not hesitate to dive into a cesspool to save your life, could get your rage up fast and strike with your full strength early in a confrontation, that you can deal with harsh environments, be deprived of food and warmth for longer periods much better than the average person.

But the people who will be deciding things will either be vastly tougher than you are, and they are already much tougher and much better armed and much better trained on their weapons

people who have resources who can 'pay' those people.

There are thousands of national socialists around the United States and still yet there are thousands more around the world, our numbers grow yearly in recruitment. When this collapse of the United States and west finally occurs our numbers will be bolstered even further.

I'm not at all worried about the military or law enforcement after the collapse all that much, we're talking about an organization that had a hard time putting down rice farmers with AK's in Vietnam and one that still has problems putting down a bunch of camel jockeys down overseas. They'll have an even greater problem putting down a home grown American domestic insurrection.

The Viet Cong were not experts in the beginning and yet overtime through learned experience did quite well for themselves despite originally being predominantly rural farmers. It's all about applying learned experiences into a kind of tactical advantage.
