Ha, no, just some guy who happens to know how to prepare one of these flat fish I only know the dutch term for.

It was listed simply as "poisson" and the waiter spoke only Spanish.

Spanish can cook fish. I had noticed that already.

When I was driving through Europe once over for the thirtieth time to find some thing... I also got to Southern Spain with the big sardine fires on the beach, and even the first roadside restaurant I went into in Spain had a live fire on which my fish was grilled. In a roadside restaurant - it was hell arriving back into Northern Europe, Northern France 5 AM after 24 hours of driving sucked, as few things have sucked before. I was out of clean socks. I did not feel like a cultural hero. I wasn't. I was a cultural refugee.

This was a legitimate Dutch cultural hero once.

And people wonder why not many people relate to Dutch culture anymore.
Why hiphop is more popular than this, its really unfathomable.

Music is the only class struggle that exists. It is the struggle to give dull things class.

Like this guy in Brussels.

He is a hero.
But I find him to be wrong about what smart or intelligent means.

To be intelligent requires wisdom. Because to have an intelligent thought process means to be able to discern valid axioms and relate to them in action, for example in a logical step-chain.

It is absurdly stupid to think that all Trump voters are stupid. One has to entirely lack intelligence to think this, one must in fact be dumber than the simplest animal.

Modern intelligentsia are not intelligent, they are simply talented at producing sentimental fictions. Farming requires far greater intelligence.

Yes, he is mostly talking about the kind of pseudo-intellect academic types. I agree that his analysis could have gone deeper to show how real intelligence and wisdom are indeed related, and any intelligence that isn't wise is simply a fraud of the intellect. But I think generally speaking he would agree with your analysis.
