Emotional Energy

Does emotional energy exist?

If “yes”, what/who does it power? Is it the sustenance of our consciousness?

If “no”, why do we limit exposure to or flat out avoid people/events we consider draining (like feuding and emotional vampires)? And why do we strive to ensure that emotional energy flourishes in the form of happiness, regarded by most as a positive energy?

The scientific community seems to marginalize its’ existence, pigeonholing it in Psychology.

The spiritual community and advocates of self-help topics are more likely to acknowledge its’ existence in a different wheelhouse, one of greater importance at least. Some of these folks giving it credence say that emotional energy is a unique type/pattern of energy, that may even be the essence of creation itself.

I don’t think emotional energy can be divorced from its position as an impetus for beliefs and fears. It is not a belief in itself.

Sorry about not responding sooner Ierrellus. Since I didn’t understand your remarks, it made me reconsider what I was trying to express.

I was trying to tag emotions as a substantive form of both kinetic and potential energy that causes much of James S. Saints- Affectance propagation to manifest itself, not magically, but rather by an ethereal speaker system amplified infinitely by emotions gathering into the deep pool, the soul, a fantastic yet simple, pure, raw energy. Like metal filings gather to a magnet, so too do the emotions gather to the soul which has both the authority and the ability to wield them.

Heard of prayer groups targeting their hopefilled, emotional energy towards a critically ill persons with miraculous outcomes of sudden recovery by the ill from all sorts of serious diseases.

Even Pagan witches, tribal Shaman, and the blind faith of preachers have healed folks by hands on off ways through sheer will of their positive emotions, positive feelings.

Many people who should be dead( my own Dad as well as myself) have felt warmly blanketed, protected, by the pure energy of angels and deceased relatives whose souls have shown up for them to keep them in the game of life. Obviously crossed over souls don’t represent much in the physical in appearance and yet they can direct the energy of emotions to aid us, by shielding us. It’s incredible!

So you are describing the positive emotions, the good vibrations, that can both comfort and heal?

When I am drained of energy I cannot think in complex thoughts, only henids.

Estrogen is the hormone of the night, it causes sleepiness, lethargy, and henids. It causes disorganized spurts of energy and incomplete thoughts that seem complete but are not.

Women are second rate programmers. There is no female equivilant of John Carmack. The only good female programmers have low estrogen. When my estrogen is high I cannot build anything of much substance.

happiness is only a good fuel if it doesn’t trigger estrogen flow. Chocolate is the bane of rational minds, and hatred and the competitive spirit is a very good fuel for doing things.

Ierr, emotions can do much more than comfort and heal.

It just may be that it’s easier for regular folks to focus and direct positive emotional energy particularly in tandem with their souls. Myself, the negative emotional energy radiates out of every fiber of my physical being like heat escaping without any self-containment.

Emotions make up their own system of energy. Not sure if there is an exact name for what I am trying to explain. Prana which means life force in Sanskrit (it’s called by other names in various cultures)touches on where I’m trying to head with this. :-k

You need to boost your testosterone levels Trixie and so I suggest that you take up weightlifting and
start watching lesbian porn and listening to hard rock and any other manly pursuits you can think of

Emotion is the flavor of our thought, the color of our images.

Ierr,

You certainly throw me for a loop when you respond. Your last response was poetic, beautiful, but no, simply no.

Will you describe your soul?

To Iambig: about dasein, it’s about the mother of invention, what is your necessity beyond the man?

Most people are in a box…thinking alike, feeling alike, acting alike…at varying times, tick-tock on the Earth clock. Why are we throwing all our eggs into one basket of a box? Screw those eggs and those chickens too! Screw sciences and religions. Confusion fodder. spitting

When I was born as a human bean, I was kissed on my forehead then kicked in the face, but in that kiss came my imagination and with the kick went my memories. I’m writing this so it’s on the record; we’ve all been given one gift and robbed of another. “The breath of life is the death of knowing.” So sayeth Maniacal Mongoose :evilfun:

Somebody, anybody, break out! Beyond the physical, beyond the spiritual…please! Don’t make me do all the heavy lifting…I’m a woman  Okay, predictable rant’s over. :-"

My psyche is composed of three entities–mind, body and soul. As a trinity it experiences three things–being, becoming and belonging. For me, soul is that part of my psyche that can envisage empathy and compassion for what is other than my Self.

No, you should, cause all you want to do is nothing till you die.

MM, I’m still not sure what you want here. Philosophy and religion are not devoid of emotional content.

I think consciousness has a metaphysical epicentre [because it changes all the time] and an ‘experiential concentration’, which decreases as you move outwards from the centre of its sphere = strength/weakness of ‘energy’[?]]. The greater the impression or indentation upon its fabric, the greater it is felt.

Pain is tops, emotion [where different] is just behind that as if on a slider, both do not exist, but are the net result of multiple aspects denoting the emotional response. So information rises in the mind making respective effect, which is felt. Ultimately though, the info itself is contextually redundant!*

  • in that a vast array of different and sometimes unrelated informations results in the same or similar emotional responses in all/most individuals. Suicide victims for example, will majoritively feel a lack of worth and trapped along with a sense of pointlessness all wrapped up in emotion. Each will have there own reasons [info], so there are clear differences between the information [in say box 1] and the feelings we experience [box 2].

I need to study up on Plato for he and I share like-mindedness. Then I’ll get back to you Ierr and Amor.

Ierrellus … reading your above sentence reminds me of Confucius … again

While there is no logical basis for associating your sentence with him I feel like sharing my thoughts anyway.

Apparently Confucius argued where there is three (people) … one of them must be the leader.

Of the three components of your psyche … which one do you consider ‘leader’ … if at all.

Plato is giving me a headache. Somebody wrote somewhere that Plato described the physical location of the soul body in the flesh and blood body? Ding, ding, ding! Plato was right O:) Does anyone know approximately in which of Plato’s works that the soul’s location was written?

I think the biggest route to inaction is feedback loops of pros and cons.

I believe M,B,S is a trinity–our image of God. There is no one leader. When any one is seen as the leader the psyche suffers confusion akin to mutiny. All troubles of civilization seem to stem from split psyches.

For clarification … M+B+S=Human Being. M B and S are not mutually exclusive, contradictions exist.

“B” as leader/dominant = Olympian athletes.

“M” as leader/dominant = Scientist/Philosopher

“S” as leader/dominant = Theologian/Spiritualist

divide and conquer ???

ditto above

Olympian athletes can also be spiritual, as can scientists and philosophers. A dominant expression does not have to contradict the basic trinity.
Psyche, for Plato meant soul. (Republic and Meno ). He suggested that the soul is imprisoned in the body, awaiting release. By psyche I mean the full, trinity of possible human expressions. There may be dominant expressions, but these cannot be divorced from the others. Such a divorce/fragmentation creates a mind against itself. To be holy simply means to be whole.
