A Question of Life or Death.

In his autobiography, John Simpson, the news reporter who became famous as a BBC correspondent, explained his attitude to exposing himself to extreme danger, as he did in Baghdad during the Gulf War, among many other places: “I find it hard to accept the contemporary view that life of any kind, no matter how restricted or feeble, is better than no life at all.”

I agree with Simpson.
I wonder what are the views of the members of this forum?
Is there something you would risk your life for?
Are there any conditions under which you would consider life not worth living?
Would anyone consider it immoral to give up on life, not matter how bad it got?
