Television in technicolor

How does television shape people’s values and perceptions on things?

If we would have to give a detailed explanation of how this is done what would be some of the conclusions of such an reflection?

I don’t think that TV has as much impact as it used to when there were only three or four stations. The points of view that got airtime in those days were quite narrow. With 200 channels now just about everything that’s not completley repulsive to the average person gets played. I suppose people watch alot more TV now that they used to, but the programming isn’t nearly as one sided as it has been in the past.

That might be true to a certain effect but you must admit that the news channels are few in number with a bunch of narrow secular views describing how life ought to be.

Even public radio shows in political dialogues.
