So what films have you seen recently?

I am currently looking at Lieferstahl and Bela Balazs’s Blue light. Ambig, have You had a chance at seeing this early 1932 film?

Last weekend I watched The Judge with my sister and father.

Wasn’t bad.

Story of a big shot lawyer going back to his hometown after the death of his mother - confronting / mending the old relationships he left there, and integrating back into the environment. It has the backdrop of a court case, but that’s only to push the story forward and the reason the main character stays in the town.

I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I could relate to the setting, being from a small community myself, before leaving in my late teens.
