I had a friend said that regueton was a revolution the same way as salsa, of the same magnitude and transcendence. Not, he was quick to point out, obviously in terms of musical quality.

Who could have known it would lead to this?

Turn back time. Reason why. Break neck speed.
History waiting, waning, exasperating, unstrung, tethered, hoping forever.

No! I tried to settle bets with my own soul.
Bless my lips for the first time before you don't.
Gripping to the last touch of your hand I grow to loathe.
Hope that you remember just how far I'll go.
I'll spend the rest of my life wishing I'm enough.

Resist. Resist. Resist.
Resist. Resist. Resist.

Even nothing, is something.
If one is to live balanced with expectations, then one must learn to appreciate the negative as well, to respect darkness in its own home.

All smoke fades, as do all delicate mirrors shatter.

"My ancestors are smiling on me, Imperials. Can you say the same?"

"Science Fiction today ~ Science Fact tomorrow"

Change is inevitable, it can only be delayed or sped up. Choose wisely.

Truth is pain, and pain is gain.

A lot of people don't remember this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spt1zvbezyE . In fact, 2 years after it came out in 2007, already nobody remembered it. But I did, I marked it carefuly. It was the turning point, the day a song came out that took the balls out from under regueton, allowing people who had previously been offended by its violence but secretly were moved by its rhythm to fully indulge. In my own classroom, all the so-called "sifrinas," or what we might call "too good for you" upper class girls, suddenly were openly listening to and proclaiming their love for a regueton song.

It was downhill from there, I already knew the second I saw those girls playing the song in recess. Suddenly, about half or more of the hits were of that style. And then, well.

Despa fucking cito. Non-threatening. The motions of sex without the penetration.

It took over the world there. Sex without the danger. That's what's inheriting the Earth. Obviously Christianity, or Platonism as we go up the ladder, is largely to blame. To castrate people while convincing them that it is not a thing that exists and that sex is for the castratd, which castration is not something that exists, but Satan or whatever, panic-point forget-all-everything moment. Does not compute point. But that rhythm... Pum, ka-pum-ka, Pum, ka-pum-ka. Sneakily, regueton has been making its way into rap and Beiber hits for a while now, and more and more.
