song question

goodevening…
does anybody know that song that goes… “you’ve-got-to… maaaake your own-kind of mu-sic!..” its a definite oldy, female singer, was played in hit popular tv show Lost in the bunker.
by the way, that show is very good, i would recommend to anyone they download some episodes and watch them… teh more sequential the better. i’m just starting the second season. the show has re-invigorated my spirit.

I was gonna start a thread for this, but I can prolly just throw it in here too as once Monooq gets his answer this thread will be pointless anyways.

So, does anyone watch/has seen the HBO show Six Feet Under?

I personally think it’s the best show on TV by far.

you fool. you might as well admit to watching the OC as well.

Key words - on tv

What would be your choice? If you say House or some shit like that I’ll fucking shoot you.

ultimate fighter, Lost, late night porn…
these are all very good

Ultimate fighter doesn’t count… I’m talking artistic, not a bunch of meatheats beating the shit out of each other… that’s a different type of entertainment.

Lost is alias on an island.

Late night porn? It’s all about TQS

Hi. That song “Make Your Own Kind of Music” was by Mama Cass Elliot. It was a solo effort after the " Mamas and the Papas" had broken up. I believe the song is from about 1968-69.

Cheers, MRJ

But obviously before she choked to death on a sandwich.

And if she had shared that sandwich with Karen Carpenter, they’d both be alive today.

I’ve seen Six Feet Under and initially was very impressed by it but I started to find it very repetitive and found the constant need for ‘intimate’ emotion a bit tiring…

Just like I eventually (after about 30 minutes) found Sarah Jessica Parker’s tedious monologues and trite metaphors a bit tiring. Good TV to fall asleep to…

The best recent show from the US that I’ve seen is the Sopranos, which is everything American TV does brilliantly. I used to adore Cheers, much funnier than Friends or Frasier or any of that generation of sitcoms, and I’ve recently fallen back in love with Quantum Leap.

The best current British TV shows are the Channel 4 News, The Thick of It (The Office meets Yes Minister, with a lot of swearing thrown in for good measure), Peep Show (highly innovative and hilariously politically incorrect sitcom), and the majority of the documentaries on Channel 5 about people with 15 stone tumours and people whose skin is falling off…

The pound for pound best show in the world is the Aussie soap opera Neighbours, which manages to combine elements of reformation-era farce with bourgeois morality tales and produces the most perfectly balanced entertainment show that I’ve seen. It also has an unrealistically beautiful cast which is a bonus for any TV show.

Indeed I advise you all to check out Alan Fletcher the next time he’s on tour…

Extremely good series. Too bad I’ve only gotten to see 2 seasons. But I do enjoy it. Have to get the rest on DVD. Damn not having good cable.
