Any one's in particular that you might suggest?
You see...a pimp's love is very different from that of a square.
Dating a stripper is like eating a noisy bag of chips in church. Everyone looks at you in disgust, but deep down they want some too.

"the structure of scientific revolutions" is a good one. There's a David Lewis paper called, "evil for freedom's sake?" that cracks me up every time that you might enjoy. Religion is all the same. Live a certain way now so you can live a certain way after you die. In most cases it means giving up something now on the promise of something better later. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, so it's kinda dumb overall to be too religious. Also, religious thinking is intended, and has the effect of stifling philosophy. You don't need to keep looking for answers and trying to understand once you find the answers and understand, which is what religion claims to do in many cases. Psychology...it's a finite set of information. Mostly boring. The only real interesting parts and those that intersect with philosophy. So read some philosophy of mind.

Philosophy is the never ending search for truth. As Allan Wood said, the famous American modernist philosopher, "... we are all heirs to the enlightenment". What is truth? It is method What is Philosophy? it is life. Philosophy is filled with rituals as life is also said to be. It is the eternal search for what life is all about. Not just to be a philosopher but to be something... someone... better than ourselves... as it is said by self-transcendence... to transcend one's self spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Philosophy helps us to be better than who we already are by absorbing the facts of life. Everyday is a new day to learn something new... to be enlightened on one's self and everything about life. We are all left with questions to be answered not immediately but by rituals that lead to the imperfect truth of what everything is all about. People search endlessly even though with no gift of immortality to search endlessly roaming this realm momentarily.
