"If I understand correctly: The subconscious not as "nature" or simply the un-self-conscious, but as the battleground in which reason tries to kill "nature". I interpret this is a reversal of the traditional approach, which has things emerge from the subconscious to be grasped by reason - here reason submerges itself, as a weapon, into the animal consciousness and ravages it, much like industrial man does to his surroundings."

A demon = something to be feared
Fear is a demon.

A demon is an agent of fear.
Fear is its own agent.

So - now Ive given the clean version. The kiddie version, if you will.

Animals are already infinitely more rational than are humans. Human 'reason' only makes sense as philosophy, as the practice of correcting the errors in our own souls by working to build a consistent and clear self-valuing, which obviously most people never even attempt; by contrast, animals already have perfect self-valuing.

Humans are ugly. Most of them anyway.

I certainly agree to all that.
Though where I live now, most human are actually wholesome. It is certainly the first place Ive ever been to give me that impression.
New York in the early 90's was also very wholesome, but in a dirtier way. Too bad New York is dead.

People in this city don't read or watch news. They just joke around about it and go back to work or pleasure or some of the many arts they practice well. Amsterdam is the opposite. Where muslims have the Koran, Amsterdamtonians have their newspaper. Certainly the newspapers cause far more severe debilitation.

NYT is infinitely worse than the Koran. And the Koran is pretty bad.
