You should all move to Oregon

There’s a joke we tell in Oregon, tell everyone in the country that it’s always dreary here, and they won’t move here…

We have a culture here…

We only invite friends and relatives in the rainy season.

We don’t want people to move here…

But actually, it’s awesome…

We just don’t want the word to spread!

Oregonians are funny that way…

Seriously, that’s what we’re really like!!

Oregon sucks and Portland is a cesspool shithole.

Actually, Portland has one of the best bookstores in the U.S,
Powell’s…I would move to Portland just to be close to Powell’s.

What about the nature?

K: the nature? Umm, what exactly do you mean?

Kropotkin

I mean the climate, the landscape (especially the trees and the mountains), the seascape …, and something more.

K: Portland and Oregon are very pretty city/state…
lots of mountains and sea and Portland is on a river
heading to the sea…
I have been there a couple of times over the years and
really liked it… I would consider moving there but…
I can’t really handle cold, rainy weather anymore…
My arthritis really acts up in cold/rainy weather…
it rains a lot in Portland and is overcast the rest of the time.
I like Portland because it is on the rather different
side, people just march to the tunes of their own
drummer there and, and it has really good beer…
The sports scene sucks there and I like my sports…
but overall as a retirement place, I could do much,
much worse…

You catch on quick!

You’re an official Oregonian !!

Actually, Powells is larger than strands in New York …

Beaten only by the library of congress

Portland sucks, has a bad smell to it. I’ve noted this on this forum in the past.

Nothing in Portland save trees and shit. I have a grandfather living on the Pacific coast just over the California border with his Vietnamese wife, both really old. Still has his house in California, switches between them. He just likes the cheap property.

Eugene is where it is at, fuck Portland.
