Because money has a major role in modern society, it's something he has grown to hate because he doesn't hold a huge amount to grant him the "freedom" at the level he desires, which basically means free from others telling him what to do, at the same time he succumbs to it as he struggles with alternative ways to survive in the modern world.

In this circumstance, earning never really holds significant weight, it's always tainted due to the nature of transaction or exchange, a bitter reminder. For the chaotic mind, it becomes patronizing. At the same time, he needs money, he needs the people he works for, he needs modern society a lot more than he likes to think, this contributes to the rage.

Number One : to acquire as much knowledge and understanding and wisdom about everything while alive

Number Two : to spend the rest of eternity in a state of pain free non consciousness up on point of death

So far as is known death is the cessation of consciousness and eternally so too. Assuming that to be true then I have no problem in being dead for ever
I quite like the idea of never experiencing suffering once I do die. Now one is only alive for an infinitesimal amount of time compared to how long one
may be dead for. In that respect a good death is more important than a good life. As life is not the final destination merely a brief stop along the way
