Does anyone know if there is a link between the old song “Downtown” and “Waiting” by Green Day? Because it’s a similar sort of tune, and he says “downtown” a couple of times. I just wondered if they jipped the ideas, or if it’s a semi-cover, or anything. It really bugs me… sorry.
didn’t we have this discussion in the common room one time, with crisp shouting that it was an exact copy, and me pointing out that the melody was ever so slightly different?

If I’m correct, in the cover it mentions the song. So it should be a semi-cover.
