Philosophical paradoxes

THE DICHOTOMY PARADOX

Imagine that you’re about to set off walking down a street. To reach the other end, you’d first have to walk half way there. And to walk half way there, you’d first have to walk a quarter of the way there. And to walk a quarter of the way there, you’d first have to walk an eighth of the way there. And before that a sixteenth of the way there, and then a thirty-second of the way there, a sixty-fourth of the way there, and so on.

Ultimately, in order to perform even the simplest of tasks like walking down a street, you’d have to perform an infinite number of smaller tasks—something that, by definition, is utterly impossible. Not only that, but no matter how small the first part of the journey is said to be, it can always be halved to create another task; the only way in which it cannot be halved would be to consider the first part of the journey to be of absolutely no distance whatsoever, and in order to complete the task of moving no distance whatsoever, you can’t even start your journey in the first place.

Did you invent this on your own or is this a ripoff of Zeno’s Paradox?

ripoff

found it at one paper writing website

Zeno’s paradox was invented by one of those greeks who was trying deeply hard to be famous. Sometimes when people try too hard they over think and can’t think of anything so they just force themselves to create something.

In summary, zeno’s paradox is not real, it is a delusion made by a human mind. It is not actually a paradox.

For instance, whether or not a tomato is a fruit is not an actual paradox. Its simply both a fruit and vegetable.

Real paradoxes include, but are not limited to, paradoxes such as the time travel paradox.

your words make sense

but it just sounds interesting, that’s all

It’s a real paradox I think. The problem of infinite divisibility is important. Like think about how no matter what those autistic weird theoretical physicists come up with, the next batch of them just keeps on reducing the latest fundamental thing to a more fundamental thing and so on and so on forever. They don’t get it. Infinite reduction doesn’t take you anywhere toward a greater understanding. They just keep doing in anyway. Philosophers know this and they don’t do it. This is why scientists are ultimately philosophy’s bitch.

Like when you’re having a conversation about something that requires a practical solution and some idiot pops in and somehow or another starts talking about black holes and anti matter and how the universe is shaped like a saddle from a horse and you’re just like wtf get out of here you autistic fuck.

Amen!
