What is your opium?

The origins of the imperative, "know thyself", are lost in the sands of time, but the age-old examination of human consciousness continues here.

What style of classical music is that? It sounds sort of like Scriabian. It's complex but emotionally dry -- what I refer to as "autistic".

This is my "dope". It's masculine, like what you posted, but it is rhythmic and a bit more melodic.

I am generally unattracted to music that does not have a decent rhythm.
I got a philosophy degree, I'm not upset that I can't find work as a philosopher. It was my decision, and I knew that it wasn't a money making degree, so I get money elsewhere.

Silence.. and from it pours forth my thoughts and musings... anything more is bound in hedonism.

Nowadays I prefer the silence of a calm mind that just lets thoughts come and go of their own volition
Too much noise can drown them out so I keep it low so that I can hear more clearly what is being said

Power and Freedom are like two axes.
One can be very powerful but not free. Like GW Bush was.
Or very powerful and relatively free. More like Xi or Trump.
It depends on a third metric; knowledge.
The strong do what they can, the weak accept what they must.

@Magnus Anderson

How is what FC originally posted masculine? :-k

Sounds like a woman running around naked in her apartment, having a manic episode.

It's disorganized, frenzied and ecstatic.

It is actually very much organized. It is all written, note for note, in rigid schemata.

A bit ahead of its time.
