Death-metal

Death metal represents the return to primal urges, animality; becoming werewolf.
The style is aggressive, dark, vehement, and carnal. The lyrics are usually centered
around gore and brutality - bloodlust.

They say that music is the collective psychological consciousness or unconsciousness of the society it is made in to reflect social attitudes and feelings of the time.

I would have to agree with that.

Definitely.

You can tell a lot about a person just by the music they listen to; it’s a manifestation of their inner psyche.

But which one, the conscious, or the unconscious collection ?

(If it all matters, and to some, it makes all the difference in the world)

These are some amazing insights. Surely, you bring some thought provocation to the table, vivid original ideas that noone would have guessed.

Melancholic

Typically, those who enjoy melancholic music are suffering from nostalgia and masochism.
That longing to return to a time of bliss, a time long gone and that can never return.
Attempts to make it back, but never reachable, as if the foreground moves farther away with every passing stride.
The sadness turns into a pleasure, pleasure in the suffering, in the brooding and sulking.
A delight in sadness, in suffering, in pain - masochism.
