Analysis of a despicable friend

It’s 6:15 PM here … 2:15 AM in California … hopefully you got back to sleep … posting this for you to munch on with your morning coffee.

Your post reminds me of what I wrote on February 19th …

Your midnight experience is an instance of what I was trying to say above.

Mandala is new to me … read a bit on Wiki … seems interesting and relevant … the opening line …

Mandala as a circle is exciting … the Yin Yang symbol forming a circle. Here is an interesting article that suggests the Yin Yang symbol is an actual rendering of sorts of the universe.

PS

Just realized my wife is watching a documentary on the LHC … Hmmm!

The presumed goddess in the center is somehow instinctually formes an image. Of is insect like and has many arms it holds the bubbles of a foam like material and its a metaphysical giant being. Can’t look down at it , it is death. It is a block and through which the insects crawl. Then a Kafkaesque feeling overcomes me that the insects won.The Cicada Poems of Meleager of Greece comes here to mind whom the populace revered, which were written around 1 B.C.

The bubbles are not transcendental, they are totally contemporaneous, and their interaction is subtle and formed infinitely. The manifestation of Kali may also play a part in Him so worship, where the mad actions of Siva are contained by Kali. Her blackness and bizarre biting of her protruding tongue are symbolic of her shame when she finds her foot pressing down on his chest. She is the other wife of her consort Siva .

She is represented on Kali Mandala.

My son and Yours

The terrors of the night have left the bad stomach and the seed remains of what the center could look like. An apprehension of the real images of a Jungian type, and unblocking the challenges laying ahead with unwavering and unpretentious clarity, yet Devi appears to Kali to have him fight two beastly beings.

These thoughts into a mystical journey merely present some types of escotological historical sources of blockages and are only meant to reinforce the ancient notions of enabling smooth psychic passage through real but not tenuous relationships within associated psychic history.

Are You sure we can in the context of the greater symbolism of the river flow, without shoring at disturbing areas where the images would naturally but unexpectedly collude , forming an unwanted black image like the one You initiated and me? But lets proceed and find out where the river heads whether to bend downward or , straight away upriver, new challenges present.

The sleepless night almost over, a tie in with a story that happened to me in a dream of India. But that for another time. And it’s based on non fiction.

At any event , in order to keep it on the light side, would like to bring in a dramatis personae not overly different from what’s implied in Umberto Eco’s ‘Pendulum’, the somewhat comical professor, the good intentionall but somewhat amiss man,@ prone on getting across, a river of indeterminate descriptions of merely one passage of scenes from a life, in order to sustain a modicum of brevity, for relief"s sake.

J … seems we’ve encountered a stretch of “white water” … let’s enjoy the ride.

Curious to learn where we’re at when we come out the other side.

Yes when we come to the other side, out the other side .

This is to my mind safely waiting -whiting it out.
Waiting for that time. This is a transcendence builder, for the less anticipation , the more this side is paved.
Every day now I’m comfortable with more building block by block a safe haven on this side.(of paradise)

What do these mean wondering about the optics, within the contextual arrangements, but some constrained barriers within which we are free to choose?

Supposly the politics of arranging external constraints like the one’s society prescribes with the internal more familial push and shove of children , grandchildren, in -laws; a man is very lucky to achieve some cohesion and familiarity, within and without and with in with with out.

If some inroads can be made with respect, with those, some tradition bound, some silly willy opportunistic, with senses of both intentional exercise , some catching on surreptitiously, through revisions values , some not.

The point is reached where the moral expletives advance to almost panic ridden with the need for solution, and for some like
me, it is at the level of imperative.

Transcendence on a level playing field flattens out the the what is, with what is expected. That never means a denial of time as a total imminence , only that the circuitry becomes more flat lined, one dimensional.

Good morning J

Feels good to read your post and learn that a modicum of serenity has returned to you … albeit … unanswered questions persist.

You paint such vivid pictures with words … what an artist!

For me there are two cornerstones … patience and humility.

For me, the highlighted considerations are largely prescribed by society as well (SCAP)

More SCAP

My morning reading included the following two articles … they seem to speak to our dilemma.

The Pendulum – Part Two - Hard Work, Bad Luck and Murphy’s Law … zerohedge.com/news/2018-02- … urphys-law

“America Uses 30x More Opioids Than Is Medically Necessary For A Population Its Size” … zerohedge.com/news/2018-02- … n-its-size

A thought that popped into my head before reading your post … “Maybe he has a book inside him that wants to come out” … each of us has an obligation to the Human Family.

And now about the dream of India.

Your son cut ties after a failed marriage and another with children no that perhaps is too urgent of a call, too exactly demanding. Who knows what patience can this tarry. The portfolio misses key elements, which perhaps deserves much more tapestry like detail.Maybe rushing things takes away the imbalance resulting from too sharp a device when thus unprepared reaching for the other side, . Ever worry of countless expressions by that way of reaching for conclusions ? Artist You say? When reaching for the noon of darkness,so unprepared, it may become to look like as most unfinished pieces arrive to" haste as a result of no fill, between covers retaining a forward and a postscript that some today would surely have tosatisfy their predilection toward and back for a glossy shimmering , where impressions are geared by entropic short gutted visualizations , forgetting the delicate balance of building a reconstruction as through as dart throwing expectations of goals goals equally nebulous?

For that reason I changed my mind on India, and dream of You in black and white and Your son, as if , the jazz of our souls had still, a stillness of recollection with our reality, that has become such a short cycled refrain: that of a humongous clap trap of phenomena, The USA, the world soul concept , breathing in increasing rhythm of the great America, again, make it like that, again, new soulful Levittowns of air condition as nightmare and repeat again, not falling into a circucularly redundant either/or, for the exceptionally rewarded, for which the, most of all, red herringed, toward an imploding expectation .

For that circulatory all of us punished as circe, reaching out and expecting fall, the Fall, the existential challenges, the minus side of After the Fall(all alluding to others such as Payton Place. On the Beach , Raintree Country, Big Sur and the Oranges. of Bosch, Mike Hammer, Earle Stanley Gardner,
Death of a Salesman, The Vanishing Adolescent, This side of Paradise, Why I am not a Christian, David Niven"s Biography including Cardinal Spellman’s confession to Niven astounding in its depth and boldness, which prophetically pre-figured the coming storm between ecclisiastics of harmonic love and an outpouring of what appeared as Judas like auto da fe of veritable Institutions, all the sad Ozzies and Harriet’s , quietly suffering within the hebrephenic exciles between heaven and hell in the coming of the season of hell, as a general motive. The list is not complete but how can, between the arrived symbols of colorama , and doubly sound, list any qualitative shadowy traces that suggested?

No India, my son, Your son, You and I and any, will need the wait for serenity and humility.

In this wait, this abiding silencer wait as everyman, hinting and lurking around like hungry wise old cats around a dish of milk -of human kindness.

Not to suggest the unwritten word inside burning to born, is not the pnspsychic hidden dimension of every one.

Pilgrim: some words are, as sketching for later the refrain now. Not to say, there is some use for exhibitionist shades.

The previous post was a sketch not good enough. It contains
germinal ideas I wish to explore on , which we may expand … This is in line with the open format of our continuing story. Thanks

it’s not the hidden dimension of everyone … it’s the purview of the select!

I’m sure your sketching in this thread will serve you later as you fill in the details and color.

Paraphrasing the above statement … or at least the first half of it … “Filial Piety”

Confucius was the greatest champion … in all human history … of the notion “Filial Piety”. This claim is substantiated with the aggregate quantity of individuals influenced by it … billions … and the longevity … 2,500 years and counting. Filial Piety still prevails in China today though Western thought is creeping in and chipping away at it.

Confucius did not promote “Filial Piety” as the natural order of things … he understood the human mind and promoted it as a means of reducing conflict. Confucius understood the human mind functions almost solely with patterns … a pattern repeated becomes a habit … habits repeated become addictions … the human mind goes on auto pilot … no conscious thought/debate required.

Confucius was brilliant … he reached back into antiquity and selected “rituals” to create the patterns and pattern repetition. The scope of “Filial Piety” extends far beyond the common interpretation of Father and Son.

Personal anecdote … a few years ago I thanked my wife’s son for helping his mother. He responded “It’s my duty.”

Confucius was fortunate … he had a colleague that provided the other half of the solution … Lao Tzu … who focused on the abstract … yet provided some suggestions/applications for the social/political context.

For example …

PS

Apparently Confucius said something to the effect …

Confucius had no kind words for his son … yet … seems his grandson picked up the bundle of firewood collected and bundled by Confucius and lit a bonfire with it.

Pilgrim, that was an interesting take on what a generation gap can make of relationships between fathers and sons, where the later misses a sense of real connection, by being unable to connect behaviorally with his father , even if the cognitive faculties are similar or even almost identical. As far as that goes, thought processes are mostly handed down by behavior, that may have surprising if bringing in the , newer elements? (This is not an obliging question).

Third generation often reverse this. Somehow traits play into this. May this be an example of interaction of different pathways of learning? I suspect so, and that goes without saying that it is absolutely demonstrable and documented with physical traits

Would that demonstrate the current emphasis on behaviour ism?

For me, rehashing what is known is a waste of time … stepping voluntarily into the unknown is exciting … what you label “newer elements”.

Let me try to paint a picture with words …

About 25 years ago I shoved off the shores of the familiar … the shores of my former world … in a small boat with a large sail … and most importantly my boat has no rudder.

My boat docked in China about 13 years ago … who am I to argue with the ‘wind’.

Reflecting on these experiences at the moment seems to fit with what you saw in my dad’s pic … he’s full of life.

If we stay on the river that only flows on one continent … one instance of SCAP … our view of human life is constrained. Seems we have reached a fork in the river … the branch to the left is an extension of the river we have been on … the branch to the right is a much larger river … encompassing the entire Human Family.

The lyrics of Garfunkel’s song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” has been swimming around in my head.

Yes, and I am more than my limit of two drinks after noon, but, to seriously answer You I must divulge of India at last, the dream.

So to be concise:

×
We were on a bus . From New Delhi to Katmando. Then we stopped where Buddha was born I forgot the name of it but will try to remember remember .

And I got bit by some bugs, they were big, and very big, they were as big as very big bees but bigger, yes , very big and black wasps and I got bit 3 places , and we were in a hotel and I thought I was dying, and probably was, had it been for my wife injecting me, and meanwhile between dreams has this :

I was scaling a very very high mountain and I came to a summit of sorts and then the road came to a fork where I had to decide to go to the left or the right, and it was a matter of life and death, the dream made me understood the wrong choice meant death or at least a forlorn backtracking and as it rurned out I made the right choice to the left: :

I scaled some further travail of terrain and I came up to another place where the valley below showed an incredible, breathless vision of a fantastically beautiful terrain down below , and at that point , I did not bother to accelerate my downhill track. I was at peace in a stillness I have never before experienced.

We went to India , to find , answers to our son who took his life after we shared a date together at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood , the headliner was Pet Shop Boys.

Eureka!! … an Archimedes moment

As I mentioned in an earlier post … we make judgements based on incomplete information … these judgements are wrong as often as they are right … our subconscious mind tries to help us find ‘right’ judgements with dreams.

Often other people … disinterested people … people without an investment in the outcome see what we can’t see.

With this backdrop … I see how everything is connected …

Your son made the ultimate sacrifice … giving his life to nudge you in a direction you would otherwise never go.

Our conscious mind runs on auto pilot … the prevailing SCAP in our environment. Bringing the mind out of auto pilot requires a jolt. The Japanese have a custom … they clap their hands when they want to disrupt their prevailing thoughts of any given moment. Like the old vinyl 45’s … often getting stuck on one line … a jolt was required to get the 45 to continue playing the song.

The intensity of the jolt is an indication of the stretch being demanded … the distance one must travel from the “auto pilot” position.

Food for thought.

My son made the ultimate sacrifice to nudge me
…let that statement sink in while I take the for a short walk… that really caught me by surprise it knocked me out.

I came back from my walk with the dog and proceeded to write for over an hour and then pushed the wrong button and lost it. I am looking it because the depth is pulling me under
The depth where he is, into which all of us are heading, the depth that is really only a transcendental imminent differentiation therefore therefore is a product of a backward look.

Here the intention , is unwarranted therefore its unimaginable and provocatively sinless

They say sin is the ground of guilt and that is hiding in the depth of naivety. Here transcendental products of backward look merges somehow with an imminent decision You talk about, that can not yet be made and the broken record spins its rationalizations.

I knew we would reach an impasse here of sorts, and likewhys the motive and the goal can not safely travel in a straight line forever and diversion becomes not merely a possibility but devolves into basic mysterious essences, which even now on the eve of possible destruction is not unhinged by such great technical progress.

That such is the case defined well in the quibbling over the word as a substantial idea as matter, bases on an ill differentiated idea of the idea between the pregnant incentive modicum of action, may indeed brand it with a HUGE letter of uncertainty, in signaling signs of archaic
history and genealogical progression with the dubious meaning of signal: at once a been & a subject.

In a pan psychic sense based on the concept of the eternal return , only if the closing circle correlated with the conscious apprehension of of awareness of cosmic infinity within a subtle , diatinctive particularity and not vica versa

Then the two teams become the one, as they always were but at the same time were not. Such duplicity, You might think!

A duplicity within a unity , which is reflected not unto two. Imaginative plains but three. The magic is implicit in the message. And that is in the beginning: the word.

That this schema milleniuma old is obsessively retained and left unresolved , why not popular songs retained .

That of this pan psychic god. Bertrand Russell writes :

But I am leading up to the disturbing thought that perhaps he did sacrifice Himself; as did Christ. They both died at 33 years of age.

Perhaps disturbing only because in your search for answers it wasn’t part of your repertoire.

A spirit realm may or may not exist within our physical realm … no hurry to prove or disprove … we will know soon enough.

Let’s not get bogged down here either … a few words and I’ll sail on by.

I fail to grasp your intention here though it did trigger a memory:

Chapter 42 … Dao De Jing … Lao Tzu

An interesting article in philosophical lingo … "The Philosopher and the Sage: Plato and Lao-Tzu on Following the Way of Nature

metaphysicalsociety.org/2013/pap … 20Wood.pdf

Another article I read this morning that seems to speak to where we are this morning:

ronrolheiser.com/the-jesus-code- … pYKXx1ubMy

A German so sociologist visiting the US in the 1920’s, unnamed, made the following observations -upon visiting friends mostly consisting of academics. Could " parentism" be a problem alongside academia? He puzzles over who among the major philosophical thinkers had not an unconventional home life.

Socrates was married with children butnever got around writing anything down.Plato never married., Locke , Hume, Adam Smith, Descartes Spinoza Leibniz, Kant , Bentham, remained unmarried.Rousseau married his lover Therese Levasseur, but abandoned all his five children to charity homes.-This did not stop him writing his treates ‘Emil’, on the proper up ringing of children.

In the 20th century. Ayer and Russell did have wives and. Children , and entertained lavishly, only neglecting their children. Russell in particular totally ignored a schizophrenic son and a similarly dysfunctional daughter. The late psychiatrist Laing treated his children totally neglectfully and painfully cruelly, and yet treated others as of they were his children. Thomas Mann had erotic involvement with both his son Claus and a daughter the former of whom took his life, although a direct exclusive causality have never been linked.

You may be wondering. as to what I am coming to pertains to something specific, but. actually , am only weaving a wide net from which allusions can be gathered.

Direct descriptions are not only impossible at this time, but would cloud the parallels that may hold this forum together.

Always remembering that one of the initial reasons for this of dysfunction within families, seeks a center, as yet of partly exclusionary and inclusionary elements, whereby some give themselves more slack for trying to measure degrees of merit or fault. I would hazard that it is like looking through a mirror darkly.
