Sinbad's Eighth Voyage

Sinbad the good of heart
took from Sisyphus his stone
and a peacock feather’s eye
rolled out upon the earth
and sailed the crystal stream
to shores unknown to man,
where the sky meets the grass
at the still, invisible centerpoint
in the eternal garden of delight
whose fenceless gate turns out
for those who love all creatures
in holy wonderment.
