Can education eliminate the commonness among people?

Postby stellamonika » Wed Aug 16, 2017 3:30 am

No education, no science, no technology, no information, no knowledge, no intelligence, no wisdom can eliminate the commonness among people.

Education is supposed to show the commonness among people and make them feel that they are human. Education is the manifestation of humanization. It is the commonness among us which makes us feel that we are human.

Science progresses by finding more and more commonness among the diverse things. It is the commonness among us enables our communications. People use the common principles to design and invent new special things.

People who ignore the commonness become socially unfit and mentally retarded.

People who ignore the commonness among everyone and everything become less scientific and invent nothing in their life.

Being scientific means seeing reality as it is which means perceiving differences where differences exist.
It does not mean looking for patterns.
Pattern is a repeating sequence of events.
Not every sequence of events repeats.
I got a philosophy degree, I'm not upset that I can't find work as a philosopher. It was my decision, and I knew that it wasn't a money making degree, so I get money elsewhere.

I can agree, but I nevertheless think that this trend will be finished or cut off by a catastrophe like a huge war or even a natural catastrophe. After that catastrophe this forgone trend will probably be the most damnable trend and those who will follow it will face the death penalty. But after that period the situation will probably change in the other way again. So the general trend will probably be similar to what is shown in that video.

By the way: I think that if ethics is seriously put first (cp. the thread "Which is First?"), this will always lead to developments and situations like the one you can see iin that said video. So you may watch that said video again.

Logic comes before ethics.

Arminius wrote:Try to teach a child of a certain developmental age what ethics is by using logic, and you will be successful; but try to teach achild of a certain developmental age what logic is by using ethics, and you will be unsuccessful.
Arminius wrote:The historical development of the philosophical question of our current subject - "logic comes before ethics" - can be called "modern war of philosophy" and has a parallel in science: "modern war of science". On the one "war front" ("left") are fighting ethical philosophers and social scientists, and on the other "war front" ("right") are fighting logical philosophers and natural scientists and spiritual (especially logical, mathematical) scientists. (Note: There are also "spies", "renegates", "defectors", "deserters" in that said "war".) - If the ethical-social side will "win" that "war", then the science as we have known it and will have known it till then will be finally "dead".

I would think that it was the other way around, Jakob ....
According to stupid dreamers, everything must be taught through ethics, even mathematics.

Even mathematics !

Now, watch the said video again, please:

I know what you mean and can agree on it.

So far, I've read about twenty threads, I guess.

Since I'm interested in the first field of philosophy, I know the thread you're talking about here. It contains what you call the "modern war of philosophy".

You and some others are fighting at the logical "front" with reasonable "weapons".

Another one and the very unmanly one with the many sock puppets are fighting at the ehtical "front" with very unmanly "weapons" like "VO" (Vanity Occultism), thus with narcissism.

The fastest one will be the first one in real world competitions. In order to be the fastest one in gathering knowledge, you have to find a protocol to get knowledge on more things in less time. You cannot use any special protocol to get knowledge on more things in a less time because every special protocol is applicable to limited number of things. Therefore, you have to find a common protocol which can be used to get knowledge on everyone and everything.
Everyone and everything has parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes as specific properties. You must see them in order to get knowledge on everyone and everything. Nothing lacks these properties. You too have these properties. You have parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes as your specific properties. Your specific properties must be seen in order to get knowledge on you. You are not the only one to have these specific properties. Everyone and everything has parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes as specific properties. These specific properties must be seen in order to get knowledge on everyone and everything. The protocol which directs you to the specific properties of everyone and everything is the common protocol. You can get knowledge on more things in less time by using the common protocol.

You would be the fastest one to gather knowledge only if you are perfect in knowing the specific properties of everyone and everything. You won’t be fast enough to be the first one if you are not perfect in knowing the specific properties of everyone and everything. Perfect yourself to see the parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes of everyone and everything, if you wish to be first one in gathering knowledge.

You would be the fastest one in representing the observations in words and phrases only if you are perfect in representing the specific properties of everyone and everything. You won’t be fast enough to be the first one if you are not perfect in representing the specific properties of everyone and everything. Perfect yourself to represent the parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes of everyone and everything, if you wish to be first one in representing the observations in words and phrases.

You may feel stuck down whenever you encounter a new unfamiliar thing. Under such circumstances, you would look for a new protocol to get knowledge on the new unfamiliar thing. You do not need any special protocol to get knowledge on the new thing. You can use the same common protocol to get knowledge on new unfamiliar things too. The common protocol will turn the unfamiliar into the familiar. Every new unfamiliar thing too will have parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes as its specific property. The common protocol to get knowledge will fail only if you make something which lacks parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses, and substitutes. You will never gain knowledge to make such a thing!

You can very easily damage the intelligence of your fellowmen and women. It is the easiest way to prove your intellectual supremacy over others and make fellowmen and women as your slaves. You can advise them to focus only on the differences, not on the commonness among the diverse array of people and things in the universe. You can make them believe that they can become great only by making a difference. They cannot become great by looking at the commonness. Make them believe that they are different from you. They have nothing in common with you. If you keep on telling these kind of statements, they will tend to ignore the commonness among the diverse array of people and things in the universe. People who ignore the commonness among the diverse array of people and things in the universe will fail to understand the common principles which govern everyone and everything. They will fail to see the relations among the diverse things. They will not think logically. Logic connects the major and minor premises through the common terms. The will become unscientific. Science tries to see the principles common to everyone and everything. They will design no new things. New things are designed using the common principles. Seeing the differences alone will turn the familiar to unfamiliar. Everything will be new and different to the people to who see the differences alone.
You should not become a victim of such fallacies intended to spoil the intelligence of fellowmen and women. You are like everyone else in the universe. Like everyone, you have parts, uniqueness, connections, influences, stability, uses and substitutes. You eat like everyone else. Try to eat in a different way, if you want to make a difference. You walk like everyone else. Try to walk in a different way, if you want to make a difference. You sleep like everyone else. Try to sleep in a different way, if you want to make a difference. People won’t like you, if they feel that you are different from them. Your friends will leave you along, if they feel that you are different from them. People won’t consider you as their representative, if they feel that you are different from them. People will like you only if they feel that you are one among them. You can never understand the problems of people by ignoring the commonness among people. You can never understand the universal principles by ignoring the commonness among the diverse array of people and things in the universe. No education can eliminate the commonness among the people. Education is supposed to make us feel the commonness among us. Any system which fails to make us feel the commonness among us is not an education system. Any system which directs us to ignore the commonness among us will make us inhuman.

These narcissistic people are followers of their narcissistic egos. And when it comes to talking about ethics, they are just nihilistic followers of a nihilistic follower of a nihilistic follower.

They are overestimating ethics and underestimating logic; they are overestimating unconsciousness and underestimating consciousness; they are overestimating irrationality and underestimating rationality; they are overestimating themselves and underestimating all others; they are overestimating valuing and underestimating causation; they are overestimating their own values, especially their own vanity, envy, hate, resentment, and underestimating all other values.

And if you don't agree, they start insulting you immediately.

They preach water and drink wine.

Whatever they tell you, they mean their narcissistic egos.

Maybe 1% can change their ways, but for the large majority, no.

You are right. They are absolutely egomaniacal, narcissistic. Also, they need a scapegoat, because they are full of envy, hate, resentment.

Their "valuing" means: believing in their selfishness, narcissism, egomania with all their envy, hate, resentment, including the need of a scapegoat.

They do not even know what an object is and what objectivity means. And the lack of any objectivity forces them to lie, to fake, to cheat. The only theory they have, if at all, is a monotheistic one that refers to the belief in their selfishness, narcissism, egomania with all their envy, hate, resentment, including the need of a scapegoat.
