Animated video on Nick Bostrom's Simulation Argument

Check out my animated video on Nick Bostrom’s Simulation Argument: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA7V8Z533FI

Bostrom argues that one of the following is true:

  1. We will destroy ourselves before creating the technology to build simulations, or…
  2. We will have no interest in building simulations, or…
  3. We are almost certainly living in a simulation

He argues that once our technology has advanced enough we could build thousands of simulations, which would make the chances that we are already living in a simulation much higher than living in base reality.

I’m new to making these videos so any feedback would be appreciated!

The statistics in the argument (stated as “most probably”) is invalid.

It is a certainty that your society is an artificial creation, a “simulation” of a struggling world. In that sense, your beliefs concerning the real needs of your society are artificially created with simulated drama and terrorism. But that is different than your actual physical being, being no more than an artificial mind within a computer.

The loss of interest is actually the true state of affairs. There is far too little profit in merely simulating billions of minds inside a vastly huge computer. What would be the purpose?

There is certainly interest in developing the ability to produce such a simulation. There is certainly interest in producing the “holodeck” for financial and experimental gains. But in every case, the number of independent minds within the simulations are limited.

And the real reason that there is so little interest in producing an entire simulated world population is expressed in the technology presented in the following video:

You see, when all human activity can be completely controlled in the physical world (already being put into effect), what would be the point of creating mere simulations in a computer meta-world?

Once someone becomes all-powerful profit becomes irrelevant to them. They simply wish to manifest their own desires. We could be put into a simulation made by some a-hole who just wants to make everyone tormented with bullshit endlessly.

A god and only remain a god by obeying God.

Either that, or a created god and god are in essence identical. This identity in practice is bi fulcurated into the evil God and the good god, and such very early meta archeology is tantamount with the maternal God, (the earliest manifestation)- yet not incompatible with merely an anima display.

Such archeology of the soul , hidden, trapped in the lowest layers is where the early schizophrenic child grown adult will display the good mom bad mom phenomenon, in fact, without realizing that mom is bad merely on account of her absence.

So does god seem to be absent from man, at the present time, because man has killed him in a rush-urge of the demigod.

In the same time He is always present in the larger sense. Ant there, simulated simulation reduces His Being into the absolute presence, which we think we can merely kill with our own limited means.

This simulation within simulation may not be absolute toward absurdity, they may be tangential or overlapping simulations creating new forms, kaleidiscopally.
