Finite lifespans. People cannot save everyone in their lifetime, and so they would be cursed and not saved.
But if people just saved a bunch of others, they in turn would be saved, and thus all could be saved.
It’s like, you only need 17 virgins, you don’t need 17 billion…It only takes 17 of the right girls to save you, not every single girl on the planet must save you…you get what I mean?
