a new understanding of today, time and space.

Is that a challenge to PK, P-C?

Existence is like final fantasy.
You need to gain more experience, defeat monsters, upgrade your equipment,

Seriously though, I blame reality for the things that are real.
Goodness is a for the lucky. Luck is when chaos smiles upon you for a moment.

the problem of existence………

we don’t have maps or guides but at birth, we have those pesky myths and habits
and ism’s and ideologies and prejudices and superstitions, all of which act as
a guide or map for us to follow… to give our lives shape and meaning…

but what if, what if we see past the myths and ism’s and prejudices to something
else…if we fail to follow the guideline set out by society, we become
alienated from society…the path set out by society/culture is simply
not enough, it is simply written and in very broad strokes to cover most
people and it is enough for most people… few question beyond it…
certainly most people just accept it and go from there… but it is not
enough and it is too broad and too simply written…and it is concieved to
allow most people the belief that by following these simple rules, one has
lead a good and productive life…but it doesn’t allow people the chance to
become something else, something human…it is so mechanical the rules
we have that it has obsure the reality that we can overcome and become
human…

in other words, in life, we are walking on a path already created
and set in a certain direction… and on either side of this path
is tall tree’s… which blocks our view of anything outside of the path…
but we must learn to look beyond the tree’s and see what is on the other
side of the tree’s……… to see what is possible for us…

the path leads us to school and 40 years of work and then retirement
with family and grandchildren…and birthdays and Christmas’s in between……

but the reality is, we don’t have to do that… if we can see beyond
the tree’s, we might see fields and meadows in which to lie down in and spend a sleepy
afternoon or a lifetime in………the path laid down for us by society doesn’t have to
be followed………we can follow another path… if we have the courage and the foresight
to follow it…

we can simply follow the path already laid out for us and have nothing to overcome
or, or we can find our own path and begin to overcome……

Kropotkin

K: I am guessing that final fantasy is a video game…I guess you could look at it like
that…But then I am not a video gamer, so I wouldn’t put it that way…

Kropotkin

what seems to be needed is some combination of existentialism
and pragmatism… existentialism for its concern for the soul
and who we are and the emotionalism part of the human being…
pragmatism for the logical, rational side of the human being…

so some sort of marriage between the two, existentialism and pragmatism…
might be the temporary solution… temporary because all solutions in the end
are just temporary solutions because once the situation changes, the solution must
change… and as situations are always changing, the solutions are always changing…

so, anyway, we must unite in some fashion, existentialism and pragmatism…

the soul with the body…

Kropotkin

who am I?

a father, husband, son, brother, co-worker, member of society, democrat,
liberal, a baseball fan, consumer, producer, checker, taxpayer, law abiding citizen,

all of these… are labels……. they cast my role in social terms…
but the labels don’t tell you who I AM…they tell you my roles in society…

these roles are easy to understand in this Kabuki theater we call life…

but how do we break out of our roles and our Kabuki theater?

how do we become who we are instead of just playing roles?

Kropotkin

this question of existence which really is the sole question of our lives…

how do we answer this question of existence?

now there have been several answers about freedom in our existence…

for example, begining with Rousseau who once wrote: man is born free but
is everywhere in chains…

and Satre who asked: are we condemned to be free?

and is Rousseau chains forged from actual metal or are the chains,
the chains of the myths and habits and ism’s and prejudice and superstitions
that are taught to us from the day of birth?

and as for Satre, are we condemned to be free? free from what or free for
what?

so the initial question, the question of existence can become many different
questions after that… for example, we are born free… but if god exists,
we are not born free… for our path is clearly set…… and the path either leads
to god or away from god… this belief in god is really just another chain forcing
us to follow a certain path………… so god becomes just another question…

how does this one individual person born free and wanting to be free, have
freedom within these set paths of myths and habits and ism’s
and prejudices and superstitions? to be a good “citizen” one must follow the
path of being a good citizen where following the rules and obeying the
authorities become more important then any other aspect of society…
this does not lend itself to freedom… and how do we obtain freedom
of action given this attempt to create good citizens?
once again, the path to good citizenship is by transactional actions,
not transformational actions………

we are born free yes, but then we have all these rules and myths and habits
and ism’s, we must follow…how does one find freedom in the midst of all
these rules and myths and ism’s?

or stated another way, how do we find freedom in the midst of
being in the center of many, many systems… systems which require
us to follow the rules for the systems to maintain themselves…

if we all just do our own thing, the systems that are necessary for our
survival will collapse… so we must maintain the systems by acting
in a collective manner, but how do we find individual freedom in this
midst of collective actions?

what is our place in the midst of all these systems we find ourselves in?

can pieces of an machine find individual freedom?

religions offer us a promise of the next life in which to be free…
I rather take freedom in this life, thank you…

but how?

how can we find individual freedom in the midst of being part
of many systems?

we understand like the Greeks, that we cannot become fully human without
a society, another system, to engage with…the Greeks felt that only
people who lived in the polis were able to become fully human and they
were right…but that means being part of the systems…….

how do we solve this problem of existence?

Kropotkin

I, at random really, picked the value of freedom to bounce the idea
of, how are we being born free and yet everywhere in chains…

I could have picked as a value, love or perhaps, security or perhaps
justice…

so we replace the word freedom with the word justice…

how are we to find justice in a world of systems? how do we find
collective justice and individual justice, given we are pieces
of a machine, parts of a system or systems…

or how do we find love, given we are in a world of systems?

we can understand our place in the universe by understanding
the question of values in our world of chains, of myths and habits and ism’s…

and what roles does values have in a world that is about maintaining
the various systems that keep the world running? we now see why
capitalism negates human values like love and justice and peace
and charity because those values don’t help maintain the various
systems that we exist within…and capitalism must maintain to
keep the systems running………

if we stoutly defend our right to be an “free” individual, we risk
allowing the systems to crash around our head… and if we acquiesce to
being part of the system, then we risk losing our individual freedoms and
we lose that which is specific and unique about each of us……

the problem of existence…….

the question of individual needs vs collective needs…

Kropotkin

let us understand transactional actions:

“set goals, articulate explicit agreements regarding what the system
expects from organizational members and how they will be rewarded
for their efforts and commitments, and provide constructive feedback to keep
everybody on task”

we see this every single day in system after system after system and in
general, work hard and you will be rewarded with your hard work…
if that isn’t the mantra of capitalism, I don’t know what is…

“transactional actions focus on increasing the efficiency of established
routines and procedures and are more concerned with following existing
rules than with making changes to the structure of the organization”

“transactional actions establishes and standardizes practices that will help
the organization (system) reach maturity, emphasizing setting of goals, efficiency
of operation, and increase of productivity”

that pretty much explains modern society… and how are we to find individual
freedom or justice or love, given the parameters of transactional actions?

I am interesting in making changes to the system while allowing the system
to keep functioning… to allow individual freedom or justice or love,
while keeping the system operating…….

how?

the problem of existence……….

Kropotkin

the problem of existence can be renamed the “question of limitations”

at every stage of human existence comes a “question of limitations”
and how do we overcome those limitations?

when human beings first came out of the tree,
how are we going to survive?
our limitation was simple, how do we create
enough of a surplus of food, which will allow us to
survive? with arms and hands… we can carry enough food
with our arms and hands, that will allow us a surplus of food
to allow our survival…then we face the question of
how do organize ourselves that will allow us to survive?

we begin with a simple government… we or the head person,
appoints a few people to guard the way into camp which gives
us some security… the beginning of a defense program…
that is the beginning of government… a few sentries to guard
our camp…….

with each step of civilization, we somehow overcome some aspect
of our limitations… which leads us to the next step of limitations
which we must overcome to advance to the next step……

how do we organize ourselves? by creating a village which has
leaders and a rudimentary military or a sentry system to watch
for “enemies”…

with each step of government, we become more complex and
sophisticated…and that is to overcome some limitation…
with each step of sophistication, we find some limitation to overcome…
until we reach today… and we must overcome some aspect of our
current limitations……. and then we do it all over again, and again and again…

overcoming our limitations is simply another means or an answer
to the problem of existence…

Kropotkin

the problem of existence can be restated this way…

“The essence of Christianity” that is the call to heed Christ…

that becomes a limitation because it is a single path to one goal…

how do we overcome “the essence of Christianity”?

that is the modern question for Christianity…

how to overcome itself…

it is a limitation that needs to be overcome…

Kropotkin

Marx is right in terms of our modes of production and existence
do play a role in how we see and act in the universe…

I see the universe differently if I am a farmer and my friends
are farmers and all we know is farming, then if I am a day laborer
and my friends are day laborers and is different if I am a checker
in a supermarket and my friends all have service jobs which are badly
paid and overworked…… the mode of our existence defines how we see
the universe…retail tends to destroy one’s soul…… as do other
means of production like assembly line and other repetition work…

the universe seems to be mechanical in nature, repetitious
and very structured…if you work retail or assembly line work…
and I’ve done retail for over 15 years and the very work changes
how one see’s the universe……… it becomes very easy to hate
people in retail work……. in fact, if there was a word to describe retail,
hate would be that word………

your job, your career would define how you see the world…
and the nature of the world…and so Marx is right……

Kropotkin

our very existence is a problem because we are “thinking reeds”……

unlike all the other animals, we have moved beyond our programming,
our instincts, well some of us have, and by moving past our instincts,
we have moved beyond nature…for instincts are nature’s way of
programming behavior and actions into us that are beneficial for
us for survival…with instincts, one doesn’t have to think, one
just has to follow the programming, the instincts, and for the most
part, animals will survive… if the programming fits the current situation animals
find themselves in…the problem with programming is that the programs
are unable to improvise if the situation warrants it…as we have grown
beyond the programming, we can improvise if the situation requires it…

all those ism’s, myths, habits, prejudices, superstitions, are meant
to go beyond instincts and create new programming within us, that
allows us to adapt to ever changing situations…but programming is
just programming, it doesn’t create meaning or final cause…those ism’s
and habits and superstitions are meant to be tools that allow us to change
our actions and behavior to fit a given situation……….

if ism’s and habits and prejudices… are meant to be tools, that still leaves us
the problem of existence…for the problem of existence is not just about what tool
to use, but about what are we to do?

we often hide from this problem by engaging in the minutiae of our lives…
who will pick up dinner and who will pick up bobby after his baseball practice?
important details but nevertheless just details, chores to be done…
details that don’t shine light on who we are and what is possible for us?
and what is to be done?

to give one example of what we might do or might not do…….
are we really suppose to be killing each other? animals do so for food,
but we don’t have that excuse… there seems to be so much more we
could do beside killing each other…

and most killing seems to be done on a instinctual level… for reasons
best described as instinct as in anger, or hate or violence, greed…
these are base, instinctual emotions… and they drive us to actions that
harms others… and in instinct actions, quite often the one getting hurt is the
person who begins it or engages in it……

so this question or problem of existence can leads us down many different
paths…what are we to do?

if we don’t rise above instincts, then we have dishonored those higher
values of the human nature, that we could be acting upon like love,
hope, peace, and justice…

what would you think of a man who is a great talent in higher mathematics
but waste his time in a bar, being drunk all the time? “what a waste of talent”
you would say, and you would be right… but we, ourselves, have talents we
are wasting, not necessarily in a bar, but we are wasting our talents nevertheless…
in mindless pursuits of the lower instincts, anger and greed and hate……

“what are we to do” is a question about who we are and what is possible
for us as human beings…it is a choice…….and what choices would you make?
and have already made…….in what are we to do?

the problem of existence really comes down to a choice… what choices
are you going to make…………

the problem of existence is just about making choices……

what choices are you going to make?

Kropotkin

another problem of existence……

a bad conscience…

I recall as a child, when a vase or a light was broken…
and my mom would called all the kids into the room…
and ask, ok, which of you broke the vase?

and of course being kids, we would say, not me…
nope, it wasn’t me… maybe it was Robin or Gayla
or perhaps it was the youngest, Joe, I would say…
but it wasn’t me… and everyone else would blame someone
else, quite often me, because I was the “troublemaker” in the group…

but that was a child’s mantra, not me… I didn’t break that…
whatever it was… we would do anything to avoid taking responsibility
for breaking that, whatever broke…not me… nope, not me…

this loud proclaiming of innocence was a common refrain in my childhood…
not me…

and as one gets older, one finds ever more creative escapes from
being held responsible…from the dog ate my homework… which actually did
happen to me… of course, I had to put a whole lot of peanut butter on the homework
to get the dog to eat it… but the dog did in fact eat the homework…
and that lie was easily found out… of course after taking the poor dog
to the vet after getting sick from eating the peanut butter and homework…….
that dog would eat anything, absolutely anything… anyway, as one gets older,
one gets far more creative on blaming… it could be a person, people, god, school,
parents, Jews, our mate, society, religion, race, color… any wide number of
things to blame…to avoid personal responsibility for actions taken or not taken
as the case may be…….it is easy to fix blame on someone or some group…

what is harder is taking responsibility for actions taken or not taken as the case may
be…………people will spend their entire live saying, not me, I didn’t do that…
it must be someone else…oftentimes, people will offer us the excuses before
blame has even been asked about… the Jews are to blame or the liberals,
or the Muslims or the blacks… it is easy to blame because we have been taught
myths and habits and prejudices and superstitions that give us someone to blame,
be it the Jews or blacks or the Muslims or liberals…we simple have to follow
the myths and prejudices of our childhood and we have an ready made excuse for
us avoiding responsibility…problems in society… we can blame those easy,
ready targets of our childhood… those myths and habits and prejudices, we
were taught…blame the Jews or blame the lazy, shiftless blacks, or
those “libtards” are to blame for our ……. crime rate or people on
welfare or immigrants or whatever ail society…even if it is a lie,
it doesn’t matter, the point is to blame everyone else before
someone blames you… avoiding responsibility once again…

to blame is the child’s way to avoid responsibility and yet, as adults
we continue to blame………… everyone else but ourselves…

there are some, even here on ILP, who believe that they are superior,
the ubermench, lording over the “sheeple” who stand far below them……

and yet, these people still take the child’s way out and blame,
like children… the Jews or the Liberals or the blacks…….
they claim others hate their own kind, their race, their religion……
all that is, is just changing the nature of the blame game……
they are still blaming…

these people who play the blame game…they are not interested in
finding the truth about the reality of the situation… they blame
because they have a fixed vision in their head and by taking responsibility,
they destroy that vision in their head… in other words, those who blame,
they have a false and distorted vision of the world and of who they are…
and by taking responsibility, they might actually discover that they
aren’t the people in that false and distorted vision of themselves and the world…

by blaming, they can maintain their false and phony idea of who they are…
they can still pretend to be superior or above everyone else… above the
sheeple they so distain…and yet, yet… those who blame are really limited
by their own distorted vision of who they are… and being limited isn’t being
a superman or an ubermensch or above the “sheeple”…those who have a
false and phony idea/vision of who they are… are limited and are unable to
overcome that limitation…… they are unable to overcome their limitations…

how are you to be superior if you cannot overcome some basic limitation of
your distorted view of who you are? being limited, is by definition, inferior…
and those who are defined by their blaming, are limited…
and they are unable to overcome these limitations…….

if you cannot overcome, you cannot be superior…

you are a “sheeple” just like every other “sheeple”…….

those who are limited are “sheeple”… they are unable to overcome
the myths and habits and prejudices and superstitions they were taught…

they are fix in their bubble of distorted and false vision of who they are
and what society is……… and being fixed in one’s vision is inferior and
“sheeple”……………

so those who blame the Jews or liberals or the blacks or Muslims…
you are fixed and have a distorted view of yourself and the world…

and to begin to overcome, for that is the goal to overcome…
one must begin by taking responsibility for oneself… in action and
in thought…….

if you insist on saying, not me… nope, it wasn’t me…
I didn’t do it… then you are limited and thus inferior…
because you haven’t overcome your limitation…

a person that cannot overcome saying not me… is limited…
and only by overcoming, can you overcome your phony and false vision
of yourself and your world and that vison is your limitation… and only
by overcoming, can you escape it

not me… nope, I didn’t do it…
not me… not me… not me… not me…
I didn’t do it… it was someone else…not me…

did you overcome today… and what did you overcome?
what limitation did you overcome today?
it is not about fighting dragons or fighting the world…
but overcoming your limitations, that is the battle to become human…

Kropotkin

each of us, have a self image of ourselves and of our world…

now that image is driven by needs, ego, the myths and habits and prejudices
we were taught from birth, schooling or lack there of and experiences…….

I am no exception, I have an image of who I am and what is my role in the world…

I have very few delusions… I am not important… very few listen to or even
care if I live or die…the number who know me can be listed on one hand…
and I am ok with that…I am well read enough in philosophy to know what
I am doing in philosophy is good work and worth saving…….

who we blame tells us more about who we are then just about anything……
and as far as I can tell, it is what it is… we cannot change the past but
we can move forward into the future and that is where my thinking is at…

so those who blindly hold on to the past, get my censure, my blame…
and those who hold a false and phony understanding of the world, they
get my censure and my blame………. those who think everything is a conspiracy
and those who blame the jews and blacks and minorities… everyone but themselves…
they get my censure and my blame…for I feel they haven’t overcome their
childhood biases and myths and habits and prejudices and superstitions…
they haven’t overcome their limitations… and I blame them…….

that weakness is mine and I accept that…
the path to overcoming begins with awareness…
my failure lies with me because I have spent years overcoming my
limitations and I expect others to share my need to overcome limitations…

the path to overcoming begins with honesty… and being honest with themselves is the last
thing people do…… we try to make ourselves the hero of our play and really, if truth be
known, we are just bit players…supporting actors…at best…

and we are angry at being just bit players, so we blame others to justify
our being bit players… blaming the Jews and blacks and minorities are simply another
way of having a false and phony image of who we are… for if we admit the truth,
we would have to admit to ourselves, we are only bit players and that damages
the ego…….much of what we do is about ego and how to protect our ego…
so we act the star of our lives when we are just minor players………

it is hard for the ego to admit, I am a minor, bit actor in the play of life…
I have strutted upon the stage and spoke a word or two and then, then my time
is up… and then I return to the obscurity that is my life………

I am not the hero… I won’t kill the dragon or slay the beast…
I won’t win the 7th game of the world series or make the key shot
that wins the game… I will never get any applause or notice of who I am…
and when I die, few if any will even take note……

my understanding of who I am and what my role in the world is clear
and not distorted by ego, or any false or phony myth of the world that is
around me……. I don’t need to blame anyone, people or race or color or
religion to explain my obscurity… it is a well deserved obscurity……

I stand alienated from society and the culture around me…….
and it is me that is alienated… I can’t blame society or the culture
or the Jews to massage my ego for being alienated……….

I am an outsider and I take responsibility for that fact…
I have never fit in and I will never fit it and I take responsibility for that……
I am a bit player in my life and I take responsibility for that……
I am alienated from society and I take responsibility for that……

it doesn’t matter if these things are true… I must take responsibility for them…
for if I don’t, who will?

it bruises my ego to admit my failings…
but I must be honest if I am to overcome who I am………

my choices are my responsibility and my freedom to make……

the only question I must ask myself is this, what is next?

Kropotkin

philosophy is the search for knowledge…
this is called epistemology: the theory of knowledge,
especially with regards to its methods, validity, and scope.

From Descartes to Kant, the major problem in philosophy was
questions of knowledge… how do we know what we know?

the famous Descartes body/mind problem is a result of
Descartes trying to find certainty in our knowledge…

However, David Hume once said: Reason is and ought to be
the slave of the passions" meaning reason is below the passions…

Philosophers work to understand the world rationally… through
rational methods and techniques…

the methods are rational, the questions are rational, the answers are rational…

but what about the most famous dichotomy in life,
not the body/mind problem of Descartes…
but the dichotomy between emotions/feelings
and rational/logical thought………

we men, we leave to women the question of emotions and feelings…
I know I do…we have philosophy which focuses on the rational thought…
but what discipline focuses on emotions and feelings? why, Psychology…

Psychology as a scientific study of the human mind has only existed for
less then 200 years…and a great deal of psychology deals with
the how does one handle and deal with emotions and feelings and behavior…
given what we know so far, psychology has not done a great job so far…

what we need is a topology of human emotions/feelings/behavior…
in other words, just as we have done for knowledge, we need to do
for emotions/feelings/behavior……… we have epistemology:
the theory of knowledge, especially with regards to its methods, validity,
and scope……

we need to study, perhaps using this word, Pathosology: the theory of emotions
especially with regards to its methods, validity, and scope……

we need to turn a study of emotions into a science………
not in regard to the study of the mind, but in regards to emotions itself…

now why this emphasis on emotions/feelings? because if we only study
reason/rationality, we are only studying half the human equation……
we are much more creatures of emotions and feelings then we are
creatures of reason and rationality………

if we are to understand, truly understand the human being, we must
begin to study and understand emotions and feelings……

we have seen, I have seen anger take over my entire being…
I have been so angry that that there was nothing outside of my anger…
it was the only thing I was……. and I was out of control with anger……

I have seen and I have been, so in love, I lost myself entirely to that emotion
of love… there was nothing outside of my being in love……

we must begin by placing emotions and feelings in context, which is a word
for experience, we must put emotions into context and that means
historical context which is evolutionary pathosology… the evolutionary study
of emotions and feelings……why did we keep emotions and feelings
in a evolutionary context? what does emotions and feelings bring to us
in an evolutionary context that allows us to survive? how does being angry
allow us to survive evolutionary? or hate or love or pity?

we have a second field of study which is behavior… how do the emotions and
feelings impact our behavior? now we know that love is an value and values
give our lives meaning…… but so what is the connection between values and
emotions/feelings? what about justice? is that an emotion?
do the virtues we take as values really exists as emotions/feelings?

I have on occasion listed values… are those really a listing of emotions?
and behavior created by those values/emotions?

we can never be successful as human beings until we come to terms with,
not only our reason and rationality but with our emotions and feelings……

and this is another problem of existence… our emotions and feelings…

Kropotkin

another problem of existence……

I exist and you exist and anyone who reads this, exist…

now what?

why do we exist? what is the point of existence?

what are we to do in this existence? is this existence without meaning?

or can we find the meaning of existence in our values or in our emotions
or in our reason?

reason is just a tool… it seems to me, that emotions are nothing
more then a tool……… a way to help human beings to connect with
each other… for we do connect by emotions/feelings……

for emotions/feelings are just another means of communication between
people…think of emotions/feelings as another communication means…

and oftentimes the communication is between a human being and themselves…

we communicate with ourselves by emotions and feelings…

and emotions/feelings drive our actions and behavior…
in fact, emotions drive actions and behavior far too much…

but we cannot ignore or pretend the emotions aren’t there…
the inability to understand or enact emotions are considered
a illness of sorts… Autism is one such inability…
if we don’t have emotions, we are quite often unable
to adjust or be able to handle/cope with society………

so much of what we communicate is through emotions and
if you unable to process or deal with emotions, you are unable
to communicate with others…

so what came first? this communication tool or did we develop
this tool, emotions/feelings in response to living in society?

we are clearly born with feelings, as we see animals with feelings…

but what came first, emotions or our social setting…
and were emotions a response to our social settings?

Kropotkin

I think emotions are originally instinctual
The very basic emotion is based on the existential fear of other animals.

To learn which animal is the more threatening , the basis of fight or flight. So fear is the basic emotion

However that goes along with the earliest appearance of social settings , so it’s hard to say which came before which

Meno: I think emotions are originally instinctual

To learn which animal is the more threatening , the basis of fight or flight. So fear is the basic emotion

However that goes along with the earliest appearance of social settings , so it’s hard to say which came before which"

K: I agree with you… that emotions are originally instinctual…and with
the basic emotion being fear… Hobbes called himself a “fearful philosopher”
meaning for him, fear was a driving factor in his philosophy…and if you look
at his philosophy, security was the driving goal of his philosophy… not freedom or
justice but security… and those driven to security as the goal of life, are driven
by fear…look around you… read the news… it is quite clear that American’s
are being driven by fear and that fear is being stoked by the GOP…for
political purposes…

the problem with being fear driven is that once it takes hold, that fear
drives absolutly everything

all thought, all goals, all purposes… become fear driven…and from
fear, a man will kill his family and destroy everything in some vain attempt
to be safe…fear is easily the most destructive emotion we have…
so then the question becomes, how do we overcome fear?
how do we rise above this base and dangerous emotion?

fear is a limitation that must be overcome…
so how do we overcome?

Kropotkin

with the idea that emotions are, in one sense, a means
of communications… we look for examples of someone
with a lack of emotions and the difficulty of communication…

the best example I could find was actually a fictional one…
Data, on Star Trek, The next Generation…

if you recall, Data had a problem with communications if
it was emotional in nature… logical or command types
of communication, he had no problem with… but understanding
the often subtle aspect of emotions, required much work…
things a human being will often “get” without much effort…

the emotion of love is not a logical, rational communication…
words often play a small role in the communication of love…
actions play a much larger role in the emotion of love……

this communication of emotions allows us to communicate
in ways that mere words would not allow us to communicate…

a simple touch of a man to a women or a women for a man, can
communicate far more then just using words…….

we can lie with words… that is true of any words… the words, “I love you”
can be a lie… but actions are much harder to fake…………
it can be done… but we can often tell the sincerity of words as
well as actions with great deal of accuracy… this is done with
our emotions/feelings rather then our rational/logical side of our
human nature…

we can interpret others actions and words via our own emotions…
something that Autistic people have a hard time doing because
of their failure to properly comprehend emotions…

Autistic people will miss the clues that we can see because
we are “in touch” with our emotions/feelings…

now because I am hearing impaired, I often miss vocal clues
offered by speech, clues that hearing people will catch…

but I often catch physical actions that hearing people miss because
I must “read” people without the benefit of hearing them…….

but that is done on an emotional level, not on a rational, logical level……

quite often, I have to fill in the blanks in conversations because I miss
something someone said…… so I will fill in words or concepts without
really knowing what someone said… and I miss as often as I connect…
but in either case, it is done from a emotional/feeling standpoint…

after reading some material about philosophy and emotions…
I suspect that philosophers tend to overthink the entire aspect of
philosophy and emotions/feelings…

but overthinking is something we philosophers do as matter of course…

I think it is far more straightforward then people want to
make it…………
