Religiously Immortal Jellyfish vs The Liberal Philosopher

That expresses the exact abstract process that has been taught for thousands of years.

“alters the differentiated state of the cell and transforms it into a new cell”
= “rebirth”

“First, the umbrella reverts itself and then the tentacles and mesoglea get resorbed.”
= stop your current ways; stop defending yourself with your current understandings, “remove your sandals (that upon which you currently stand)”, be humble to the necessary reality, accept depression into acceptance of what is (what is logically necessary), remove all arguments and argumentation but your most essential premises.

“The reverted medusa then attaches itself to the substrate
= maintain only your essence (your “soul”, essential elements that define what you are - “an incidence of a temporarily anentropic perceptive influence

“by the end that had been at the opposite end of the umbrella and starts giving rise to new polyps to form the new colony.”
= reinstate the means to perceive and influence and start the rationale all over again, “try it all again”.

What it is lacking in order to accomplish a more independent anentropic state is the ability to increase its discernment in perception and refinement of its influence (much like the hydrogen atom), or the inability to “evolve” with each rebirth (much like the people on the Internet). It holds onto too much dogma and presumption to allow it to become any more than it was (Too Conservative).

But what it does that people do not do, is prevent corruption of its essence as it endlessly cycles. The dogma in religions serves that purpose and also, by over-use, prevents progress in discernment and refinement. But then by under use of dogma, the essence of the being is lost and thus progresses and evolves into extinction (Too Liberal). Thus the need for increased discernment of values (understanding what helps or hinders more than what you already had).
