I see two dogs running. They appear to be two dogs. They appear to be running.
Now in the grand and large universe, these tiny processes don't seem very relative. Let's say there is a giant floating brain the size of the moon out there. It would be so smart that it would ignore dust-like factors such as humans. So we can have a gods-dont-give-a-shit theory, as the basis of not bothering with worshipping them or making arguments for their existence. However, things like super humans and angels are definitely a treasure chest. I'm going off of my original point though.
Would the giant brain see two dogs running? Or would it see a whole network of forces like a matrix or a web, which contained some slightly intelligent insect like aspects. It's a custom that I find very harmful, that humans should view themselves as the most intelligent beings on earth. This belief has other beliefs built on it, like a tower of stones. If one human life is worth all the gold in the world, but the life of a chicken is worth like 20$ at KFC, that's a huge huge gap of value and merit between species. Now what would the giant brain think of humans if he liked the taste of their meat or wanted their soul or whatever. If super intelligences are as malevolent as regular intelligences, the gods are most likely the enemy. Again humanity is flipped onto the top of its head and thinks the gods are what we should all sacrifice to.
Let's say a poor woman kills a goat, with a knife. She cuts its neck, bleeds it, and then sets it on an altar and burns it up.
Why would that amuse God? I think it would be allot more amusing or appeasing if you sent God a gameboy or maybe even a nintendo DS.
Despite this, a very large amount of people in human history think these sacrifices are appealing to God.
They make huge assumptions built on all kinds of unskillful thought work. They build their 'truth' out of idiotic scraps of perception and projection and assumption.
Given human history, and all the badness which we should know it contains, humans don't seem worthy of trueness. Who wants to truly know the truth about anything, just to know it? We are curious beings but we want to know how to get sex and money. That's what most magicians cast spells for, sex and money. I'm emberassed to be born human. I try to make the most of it but come on, what a bunch of clowns.
I will be surprised when a noble and wise person expresses or creates some good metaphysics.
The common metaphysics such as free will, being, existence, time, purpose, god, value, etc. well maybe that's not all metaphysics but it was built the way the religions were built. It was built to support the system.
Philosophy is confined by ideology, but ideology is generally an aspect of "THE" system. It's not pure. Ideologies aren't there because they are really great or perfect. Ideologies are around to support other ideologies. It's a giant web, twisted and tangled and all over the place. Human thought doesn't have allot of consensus. Even if we do get a truth, who will ever accept it?
My next point is that spreading of ideology is like fire.
Some ideas are volitile, some are appealing, some are incomprehensible.
Propagandists pour gas on morality and in the old times they poured gas on god too. There is a technique to pray on human mental weaknesses and unleash a sleeping beast of fervor and zeal applied to wrong ideologies.
When I look at a city it reminds me of an ant pile.
Nobody knows exactly what is in the trash can, or who all is driving that day, or how many trees there are in people's back yards.
The whole city functions, but it does so very unconsciously. Humans are actually less intelligent than their constructs would make them appear.
Human truth is also allot smaller than it appears. Every word doesn't tie into a completed web. It's always a puzzle, and a fragmentation.
If we are to attain truth, we need to enhance what we are.
We need some wise ass to splice genes and make us smarter and even more importantly we need to be more kind and wise.
At present higher philosophy is almost impossible. In my mind we aren't ready for metaphysics. Metaphysics is a premature baby. That's not a good way to start.
