Unfortunately, you exposed the awkwardness of this when you tried to make the Crimea of all places a Dutch invention. The Russ had a naval capacity and colonial minded expeditions all the way back inti the medieval era, they kept records of when the first landed in Russia, they originated from the baltics.
Crimea was already a important naval and export hub under the Sythians, prior to the Greek golden age. Athens heavily ported food from it, the Successor States to Alexander vied for it, many tribes tried to take it, Romans made their last stand not at Trebizond but in Crimea, as the Principality of Theodoro.
Crimea has the self replicating pattern minus the nation, it remains the same pattern no matter who controls it, lowly populated naval base that exports Ukrainian grains. Tell me it hasn’t been exactly this since the first ship paddled up to it. Greeks occupied it, went no farther up river, they thought the route to the article was right there, and in thousands of years of occupation, never fucking bothered to sail up river to check.
Crimea is not a nation, but a historic local that always behaves the same no matter who controls it. It also happens to fit your definition of a country perfectly, despite being populated by different peoples at different times. Your gonna have to explain this oddity in your theory.
Secondly, you try meshing what appears to be a Pre-World War Colonial vision of the balance of empires into this idea, without segway. You gotta explain why having this nasty tenderbox of mutually assured destruction of international powers is wise, and why America should choose Paris over London, despite the US and English getting along well, and our relation with the a French while not terrible, just terribly strained due to the French being incoherently dickish. US is a Democracy, France is a Tyranny of the Socialist, it is unlikely we will ever chuck aside a fellow Democracy for the sake of people who wholeheartedly despise us, and have historically undermined us and insulted us at every turn, despite us dropping massive resources and lives saving their worthless asses repeatedly.
US was never fond of the imperial era, and during the Teddy Roosevelt administration, and he started the liberal progressive movement. We only just now defeated it, we aren’t going back for the sake of you. Your also not getting Liberia, it isn’t our country, but it is a sister nation, and we sure the fuck aren’t letting a bunch if Nietzschean minded Europeans have it. British Empire was always hesitant about going into that place at it’s height because they knew we would send troops and our always superior naval ships in blowing the Imperial Occupation to hell Liberia can fight against other local African nations, win or loose, but we will never let a European power invade and occupy it. We have fairly good relations with them, and they wouldn’t hesitate to support us dumping our entire airborne paratrooper corps and Maine Corps on them to repel. No American wants them to become the 51st state, or a colony again, but we will be damned if someone else tries to take them from us. They are literally kin, our people founded that colony. They are welcome to find their own way in life and have all the problems they want, but they will never be the crown jewel in anyone’s empire, unless that empire was started by Liberia itself.
